Bad "meritorious ministers"
On January 15, 1949, with the smooth development of the Pingjin Campaign, under the strategizing of our commanders and fighters, the soldiers attacked Tianjin like a bamboo, and in only 29 hours, the second largest city in North China was successfully liberated. After the war, the Tianjin Military Control Committee commended the meritorious personnel of the battle, but the person on the list made some people wonder.
Yan Shubing, a dentist in Tianjin, was puzzled by the masses because this person had a bad record and was obsessed with gambling while not doing serious things. What is even more disappointing is that he eats, drinks and plays with Kuomintang agents all day, and does not know how to converge at all. In just 3 years, with a lot of assets, he actually ruined his property and became the laughing stock of everyone.
Why should the Military Control Commission honor such a person with a bad record?

Amazing assassination
One evening in June 1943, Huang Hua, deputy commander of the Jilubian Military Region, was holding a meeting with comrades in a small compound in Dazhao Village to study the next strategic plan.
As the sun set, the lack of light made the minutes of the meeting very inconvenient, so Huang Hua asked the guards to find an oil lamp. When the guards went out, an unexpected person suddenly walked in, and staff officer Zhou Yunfeng interrupted the meeting process on the grounds that there was something to report.
In order not to affect the meeting, Huang Hua planned to ignore Zhou Yunfeng first, and then go to talk with him in depth after the meeting.
While saying yes, Zhou Yunfeng opened the courtyard door and pretended to go out, and suddenly he shouted to the door: "Hurry up."
Before the words fell, several heavily armed men rushed in. Took out a gun and shot indiscriminately at the house, caught off guard, Huang Hua and the participating cadres in the house all fell in a pool of blood, and by the time the guards heard the gunshots and rushed back, the enemy had taken advantage of the chaos to flee.
After testing, Huang Hua was shot in the head and died on the spot, and the rest of the participating cadres were either killed or seriously injured. And Chi Linzhao, the reconnaissance staff officer of the third division, confided the three words "Feng Guankui" when he died.
Could it be that Feng Guankui is the murderer?
After the top officials of our party learned the news, they ordered that Feng Guankui must be caught to ask the truth, and as the case progressed step by step, more explosive news came out:
Although Feng Guankui disappeared without a trace, he Feng Guankui was actually the guard of our party cadre Xing Renfu!
It turned out that Feng Guankui had been a bandit for a while, and after being surrounded and suppressed by the Japanese army and the Nationalist army, he ran cornered to join the Eighth Route Army. After doing a background check and knowing his details, many comrades of our party were reluctant to take him in, but Xing Renfu made a guarantee to take him in.
As soon as the news came out, it caused an uproar, and rumors were everywhere. What's even more ridiculous is that after learning that his guards killed someone and absconded. Xing Renfu still acted like a nobody, and even personally issued a wanted warrant to arrest Feng Guankui.
Some time later, the headquarters of the 115th Division unexpectedly received a telegram from the subordinate independent regiment that Xing Renfu actually wanted to surrender to the Japanese.
Fortunately, the soldiers of the independent regiment were determined and were not seduced by Xing Renfu, and Xing Renfu's ugly face was finally exposed.
The division headquarters originally planned to trap this person in the name of a meeting, but who knew that Xing Renfu still had many henchmen, and sent him a message, so that Xing Renfu ran away.
In July 1943, Xing Renfu fled to Tianjin with his wife and children and several of his cronies, providing the Japanese with a large amount of intelligence.
Including what he knew about our party's strategic deployment in the Jilu region, as well as a lot of information from intelligence personnel, the Japanese invaders gained a lot, and our party suffered heavy losses.
After the victory of the War of Resistance, Xing Renfu defected to the Kuomintang and served as the commander of security in Tianjin, continuing to be an enemy of our party.
Eradication of cancer
In order to catch this big traitor and traitor, our party contacted Yan Shubing and asked him to try to approach and capture Xing Renfu.
Yan Shubing was a minor dentist in Tianjin at the time, and many local dignitaries came to see his teeth. But Yan Shubing is actually an underground agent arranged by our party in Tianjin, responsible for inquiring about intelligence in Tianjin.

However, Xing Renfu's appetite was very large, and our party's organizational funds were limited, so in order to ensure the smooth completion of the task, Yan Shubing did not hesitate to use his savings for many years. In just three years, Yan Shubing almost lost his family wealth, and his relatives and friends tried to persuade him to no avail, so he could only slowly distance himself from him.
And Yan Shubing's stomach was aggrieved but he was speechless, so he could only silently wait for the time to come.
In January 1949, as our army marched into Tianjin, Tianjin finally ushered in liberation.
Xing Renfu, who received the news, wanted to abscond with the money, but the area around Tianjin was already controlled by our army, and he could only quietly hide in a primary school to hide, and the days passed day by day, and as the goods on his body were exhausted, he thought of Yan Shubing, the "best friend".
Xing Renfu quietly contacted Yan Shubing, hoping to get his help, and Yan Shubing, who thought that the task could not be completed, realized that it was time to close the net after receiving Xing Renfu's news. So Yan Shubing notified the party branch and arrested the traitor Xing Renfu, and it was not until Xing Renfu was arrested that he realized that Yan Shubing had been "lying down and tasting courage" all these years.
The truth is revealed and the reputation returns
After Xing Renfu was arrested, when the Tianjin Military Control Committee decided to commend the meritorious person after some deliberation, Yan Shubing's merit deserved to be commended by the organization, so his name was added to the commendation list, which is the scene at the beginning of the article.
After the organization announced Yan Shubing's deeds and his efforts to disperse his family wealth in order to capture Xing Renfu over the years, Yan Shubing's relatives and friends returned to him and praised him.
In 1950, Xing Renfu was sentenced to death after a public trial of 10,000 people, and the great traitor and traitor finally ended his criminal life. Martyr Huang Hua has a spirit in the sky, and he can finally blind his eyes.
