AC Milan is a traditional giants located in Lombardy in northern Italy, generally referred to as Milan in order to distinguish it from their derby rivals Inter. AC Milan have won the Champions League seven times (Clay Pot Cup in 1963, Big Ear Cup in 1969, 1989, 1990, 1994, 2003 and 2007). In addition, the team has won the Champions League runners-up in 1958, 1993, 1995 and 2005.
Milan have won the most UEFA Euros tie in history, winning a total of five titles, in 1989, 1990, 1994, 2003 and 2007. He also finished runner-up in the UEFA Super League in 1973 and 1993.
In 1973, Ajax lost 1-0 at home and 0-6 away, losing the title 1-6 on aggregate. They finished runners-up in the 1993 UEFA Super Cup when they lost 1-0 away and 0-2 at home to 1-2 on aggregate. In 1993, Marseille, the champions of the Champions League, was banned and replaced by a runner-up due to a bribery scandal.
Milan has also won many Intercontinental Cups (including later Club World Cups) in its history, winning in 1969 (4-2 Argentine giants in the final), 1989 (1-0 in the final, Atlético Nacional de Colombia), and in 1990 (3-0 in the final against Paraguayan side Olympia). In addition, he finished second in 1963, 1993, 1994 and 2004. Note: Marseille, the 1993 Champions League winners, were banned, so runners-up Milan took their place.
Milan also won the Club World Cup in 2007, when they beat Argentine giants Boca 4-2 in the final.
