From Shanghai Qingpu to Qiandao Lake long-distance round trip, a total of about 1,000 kilometers were driven in two days, and each car was tested for nearly 500 kilometers, which can be regarded as a relatively deep test drive of Xintianyi and Xin4008 in a short period of time.

Before 9 o'clock, I arrived at the 4S store where the car departed, Shanghai Pengyu Peugeot Citroen 4S store, which is one of the first Peugeot Citroen dual-brand 4S stores after Shenfen Automobile promoted the integration of dual-brand marketing channels.
Before preparing to leave, Chen Gong, an engineer of Peugeot-Citroen Automobile, introduced the highlights of the two cars to be tested in the 4S shop.
There are a few points that Chen Gong introduced more, the first is that he said that the domestic team led the development of the two cars, and they invested considerable manpower and material resources to do this, they think that this set of vehicle system meets the needs and habits of Chinese people, and the experience is very good; The second is the 23 Tianyi adaptive chassis, which is the only SUV in its class to adopt PHC adaptive hydraulic stability technology, bringing air suspension-like comfort; The third is that the interior materials are strictly selected from high-quality non-toxic environmental protection materials to ensure that VOCs are far below the national standard limit - the data displayed by Chen Gong shows that in the high temperature test, the measured value of harmful VOC substances of the new 4008 is less than 40% of the national standard limit, and the measured value of harmful substances familiar to us such as formaldehyde and toluene is less than 10% of the national standard limit.

Departing at ten o'clock, the first leg is from Shanghai Pengyu 4S store to the central lake area of Qiandao Lake, passing through Chang'an service area for lunch in the middle.
My first day of test drive was this red Peugeot New 4008.
10 minutes on the bus, two things were impressed. This is a new car with a total mileage of only more than 1,000 kilometers, but after getting on the car, there is almost no smell, it seems that as Chen Gong introduced, the harmful gases in the new car are controlled at a level far below the national standard limit. Later, when communicating with Chen Gong about this, he also told a little story at the Shanghai Auto Show, he said that he met a mother who was looking at the car with her child at the auto show, and the mother went around and finally returned to the Citroen booth and said that she would buy your car, because there is almost no smell of new cars in your car.
Another thing that impressed me after driving for 10 minutes was how easy it was to get started! I haven't driven a French car much, and I haven't driven a 4008 before, but driving a new 4008 is hardly jerky. I think this is because of the mature tuning of the new 4008, its handling response is precise and solid, better than most daily scooters; Its driving feeling is safe and stable, which is in line with the daily driving habits of most people.
Of course, as a sporty SUV, equipped with a 360THP turbocharged direct-injection engine that has won the "International Engine of the Year Award" for 8 consecutive years, plus the original imported Aisin 8-speed manual automatic transmission, as long as you drive a little harder, you can immediately experience the steel cannon attributes of the new 4008 - kick the throttle down, push back feeling followed.
During the long-distance test drive, I also deliberately experienced the new 4008 vehicle system, especially its intelligent voice function. I believe that as Chen Gong said, this set of vehicle system was developed by the domestic team with a lot of cost, and the functional settings and interactive experience are very similar to some pure electric vehicles I test-drived, such as the continuous dialogue and visible can be said in voice interaction, which is rare in joint venture fuel vehicles.

After arriving at Qiandao Lake, we did not check into the hotel immediately, but walked around the hotel, hoping to find a place to park by the lake and take a few beautiful photos of the new 4008. Unfortunately, we couldn't find it, so we could only take some still pictures on the edge of the lake villa.
I prefer the look of the new 4008. First of all, the new lion logo is more attractive to me, and it is integrated with the borderless black dot matrix grille, revealing a sense of luxury. The "7" shape, like a flag, the headlight combination is very recognizable. The rear of the new 4008 is also very refined and dynamic - the black downward pressure rear wing has a strong sense of sportiness, and the three-row 3D lion's claw LED taillights echo the rectangular exhaust pipes up and down, and the visual experience is very harmonious and complete.
