South Asia, known as India's "backyard", has been oppressed and bullied by India.
India has always regarded South Asian countries as its "sphere of influence" and has constantly threatened and punished them with a hegemonic attitude.
After enduring India's oppression for a long time, three South Asian countries, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal, finally chose to stand with China, hoping to receive continuous support and help from China.
Sri Lanka: India's cleverness annoys old friends
There are profound historical contradictions between India and Sri Lanka.
The two countries are just across the Indian Ocean, and India has repeatedly pressured Sri Lanka, leading to a deterioration in bilateral relations.
India intervened in Sri Lanka's Tamil armed forces in an attempt to expand its influence in Sri Lanka, but with little success.
This has made Sri Lanka realize that India is not genuinely trying to help solve the problem, but is pursuing its own interests.
After the end of Sri Lanka's civil war, the economic center of gravity began to shift to China.
Chinese investment has transformed Sri Lanka's ports and other infrastructure, which has played a key role in promoting Sri Lanka's economic development.
At the same time, India has repeatedly made things difficult on fisheries and other issues, seriously damaging bilateral relations.
Compared with India's deliberate difficulties, China has sincerely helped Sri Lanka with a friendly and good-neighborly attitude and won the trust of Sri Lanka.
In 2020, Sri Lanka said it would strengthen cooperation with China to jointly build the "Belt and Road", which is undoubtedly a strong protest against India's hegemonism.
The Sri Lankan government has made it clear that it will never allow any force to threaten China's security through its territory.
China and Sri Lanka are both developing countries and have a natural foundation of mutual trust.
Sri Lanka's choice of side shows that India has lost ground in South Asia.
Pakistan: The battle for Kashmir became the trigger for the destruction of friendship
Pakistan's relationship with India originated during the British colonial period, when the two countries were once "iron brothers".
But the colonial demarcation of borders left irreconcilable contradictions, the most acute of which was the question of the ownership of Kashmir.
The water-rich plateau was originally an independent kingdom, but India forcibly incorporated it into its territory, sparking strong resentment in Pakistan.
In order to fight for Kashmir, India and Pakistan fought fiercely, and in the 24 years from 1947 to 1971 alone, two Indo-Pakistani wars broke out.
The war led to huge casualties and economic losses, as well as the consequences of a feud between the two countries.
Especially since the two sides acquired nuclear weapons in 1998, the Kashmir issue has been raised to the level of a nuclear war, and Pakistan feels threatened.
Armed with India, Pakistan can only seek a balance of external forces.
China has always supported peace and stability in South Asia and is willing to lend a hand, which is naturally the best choice for Pakistan.
The two countries established diplomatic relations in the 1950s, and China provided huge interest-free loans to help build roads, railways, hydropower stations and other infrastructure, making significant contributions to Pakistan's economic development.
Compared with India's arrogance and difficulties, China has won the hearts and minds of the Pakistani people with its sincere friendship.
Pakistanis have said that only China is a neighbor they can trust wholeheartedly.
Pakistan-China friendship has withstood the test of time and political changes, and this profound feeling has become an important cornerstone for Pakistan to join China.
Nepal: My closest neighbours have had enough of India's domineering
Nepal not only borders India, but the two peoples are closely related in language and culture, and the relationship should be like a family.
However, India has taken advantage of its geographical advantages to form a dual security and economic dependence on Nepal and engaged in hegemonic diplomacy.
This forced Nepal to seek a third party to balance the relationship between the two countries.
After Nepal passed its new constitution in 2015, India imposed a comprehensive blockade and sanctions, and Nepal fell into a serious shortage of energy and materials.
India's hegemonic behavior has completely angered Nepal, and bilateral relations have fallen to a freezing point.
With the Sino-Indian border standoff in 2020, the Indian army also intends to invade Nepal's territory, and Nepal is completely disappointed with India and turns to China.
Compared with India's malicious difficulties, the anti-epidemic materials and vaccines provided by China to Nepal have made Nepal feel sincere friendship.
China also sees Nepal as a natural partner for South Asia.
Closest neighbors have also chosen to embrace China away from India, whose South Asian hegemony is increasingly broken.
Epilogue:
China has always pursued an independent foreign policy of peace, adhering to the principles of non-interference in internal affairs, non-seeking spheres of influence and non-formation of alliances.
In handling relations between countries, China has always adhered to the purpose of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation and coexistence, and has lived in friendship and harmony with other countries.
For a long time, India has tried to bring the South Asian region under its own control and exert all kinds of pressure on neighboring countries.
China has never had ambitions in this regard, and it does not believe that any country can represent the entire South Asian region.
What China hopes to see is a situation in which South Asian countries live in harmony, cooperate with each other and prosper together.
We look forward to working with all countries to create a better tomorrow for mankind.
