Of the four relatively large snow resorts around Queenstown, the Three Cone Mountain is left unattended. Drove to Wanaka this morning and stayed here today and tomorrow to prepare for skiing on the Tricone (relatively close).
Come on
From Queenstown, we first went to Arrowtown, which is 25 kilometers away. Gold mines were discovered here in the 19th century, and a gold rush occurred, attracting a large number of immigrants, including many Chinese, and gradually formed Chinese villages. The ruins of the Chinese Village have now been turned into exhibition halls, and various display panels tell the arduous struggle of the Chinese more than 100 years ago. Arrowtown is more miniature than Queenstown, and the street buildings are clean and tidy. Leaving Arrow Town and continuing to Wanaka, passing an attraction called "Underwear Wall" on the way, countless women's bras hanging together, becoming a very distinctive landscape.

Wanaka is 69 km from Queenstown and is an hour and 10 minutes drive away. The town is named after the lake, built next to the lake, the scale is not very large, but the scenery is beautiful, compared with Queenstown is more quiet and more literary style. After we settled in, we went to the visitor center to finalize our skiing itinerary for tomorrow, and then went to one of the more famous Cantonese Chinese restaurants in town to change our tastes. During the meal, more than 20 members and coaches of the national freeski team happened to eat here. It is very cordial to meet compatriots in other places!
