On September 6, 2023, the China International Fair for Trade in Services & Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors Conference was grandly held in Beijing.
With the theme of "Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage", we will continue to deepen international cooperation in the protection of intangible cultural heritage, so that excellent traditional culture can empower China's trade in services. Comprehensively promote the comprehensive revival of Chinese national intangible cultural heritage services with Chinese-style intangible cultural heritage modernization.
The conference invited China's former Permanent Representative to UNESCO and more than 20 national intangible cultural heritage inheritors, ambassadors and counsellors from more than 20 countries covering five continents in China, as well as experts and leaders of intangible cultural heritage protection and development departments, and released a series of activities such as the intangible cultural heritage ceremony for diplomats.
In the Intangible Cultural Heritage Development Forum, the two porcelains of "Grandmaster Inheritance" were used as representatives to explain the inheritance and revival of Chinese traditional culture in contemporary times, showing the new height of contemporary Chinese porcelain culture. The two statues are decorated with the beautiful peacock opening screen and the oldest peony ornament, vividly showing the special weaving skills of stranded porcelain and the ink style of Cizhou kiln, which has won unanimous praise and attention at the scene.
This stranded porcelain work is the first large vessel on the 30-year road to revival of the Chai War Pillar. It is the only porcelain in the world that is colored into the carcass and is known as "gentleman's porcelain". It breaks the traditional hand-drawing technique and creates the only hand-woven porcelain technique, weaving thousands of porcelain clay of different colors to show the world the most representative patterns of China. Cizhou Kiln pioneered ink porcelain painting and was known as "the first Chinese literati ink porcelain". It laid the foundation for the development of blue and white and colorful porcelain, and pushed the art of Chinese porcelain painting to the peak. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of intangible cultural heritage, An Jiheng will "reproduce cultural relics" to let more people understand the culture of Cizhou kiln and help the development of intangible cultural heritage.
In order to promote intangible cultural heritage people-to-people diplomacy and rural revitalization of intangible cultural heritage empowerment, and strengthen the exchange of intangible cultural heritage and the development of intangible cultural heritage among countries, at the end of the meeting, the national inheritors presented the works "Inheritance of Grandmasters in the Glory of the World" to ambassadors and counselors of various countries. Leading guests presented certificates to the inheritors who contributed to the development of intangible cultural heritage. The three forums on the theme of intangible cultural heritage received enthusiastic responses, and the conference achieved the expected results.
