On September 3, 2023, at the China International Fair for Trade in Services 2023 International Climate Conference (ICCOP 2023), Mr. Hu Zhaoguang, former Vice Mayor of Beijing and the third Chairman of China Green Development Association, unveiled the Water and Climate Crisis Museum of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation.
The Water and Climate Emergency Museum of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF-WCEM), Chinese referred to as the "Green Society Water and Climate Crisis Museum" or "Green Water Expo", Located in Mentougou Lingxi Scenic Area, Beijing, in order to remember the impact of natural disasters brought about by extreme weather in the summer of 2023, through the construction of climate crisis and biodiversity science popularization base, ecological civilization education base, disaster and rescue and reconstruction exhibition base, and youth outdoor team building base, aiming to promote carbon peak and carbon neutrality, respond to climate change, promote the improvement of the scientific quality of the whole people, and contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
