Authorities in Canada called on residents to capture five million bees

author:Erudite Kite RB

On the morning of August 30, a truck carrying beehives fell from a railway fork in Burlington, Ontario, and about five million bees escaped from the hive.

The Horton District Sheriff's Office received a call at 6 a.m. and immediately issued an urgent appeal to residents to catch bees. The incident occurred between Lake Ontario and Toronto.

After the police appealed, seven beekeepers volunteered to participate in the bee hunt. After hours of fighting, most of the bees were driven back to the hive that day. Beekeeper Michael Barbir uses pollination to attract most of the bees back to their nests with the help of other volunteers.

Police are still urging residents to stay away from the accident area to avoid a stray bee attack.
