Among them, 5 in Beijing, 3 in Shanghai will be the first to go online, and 2 in Guangdong Province and other provinces and cities will also be opened one after another.
Industry insiders said that large-model products have been approved one after another, marking that the large-model market will officially enter the stage of formalization and commercialization. Some enterprises have achieved a more obvious first-mover advantage, the "100-model war" has gradually entered the competition of industrial ecosystem from the competition of technology, data and computing power, and large model companies rely on the MaaS model (model as a service) to provide enterprises with large-scale, inclusive and personalized services, and gradually expand the C-end market.
A number of large models are available to the public through filing
Baidu said that on August 31, "Wenxin One Word" was fully opened to the whole society, and at the same time, enterprise users can directly log in to the official website of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Qianfan Model Platform and call the "Wen Xin One Word" capability. Next, a batch of newly reconstructed AI native applications will be opened, allowing users to fully experience the four core capabilities of generative AI: understanding, generation, logic, and memory.
SenseTime said on August 31 that SenseTime's model app "SenseChat" will be fully available to users from now on. Zhipu Huazhang also said that the Zhipu AI intelligent assistant "Zhipu Qingyan" will be fully opened from August 31.

Guo Tao, an angel investor in the field of artificial intelligence, told China Securities News that the development, testing and deployment of large models require profound artificial intelligence large model technology precipitation, massive data resources, etc., and opening to the public also needs to go through multiple links of testing and approval. Being able to become the first batch of enterprises to pass the filing shows that its large-model technology and product maturity are relatively high, and it has established a first-mover advantage.
According to incomplete statistics from the institution, 79 large models of more than 1 billion parameters in China have been released. However, before obtaining ICP filing approval, large model enterprises can only open the internal test to enterprise customers, and individual users need to register to apply for the internal testing qualification.
The technological iteration and application expansion of domestic large-scale model enterprises have a rapid momentum, and the state has also issued corresponding policies to regulate the development of this emerging industry.
According to the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services" officially implemented on August 15 this year, those providing generative AI services with public opinion attributes or social mobilization capabilities shall carry out security assessments in accordance with relevant national provisions, and perform algorithm filing, modification, and cancellation filing procedures in accordance with the "Provisions on the Administration of Internet Information Service Algorithm Recommendations".
Grab the C-end market
This round of actions of large model enterprises has brought the trend of "100-model wars" from the enterprise-level market to the consumer-level market to appear.
Baidu said that Baidu's various user-side products are using large models for reconstruction, Baidu search, Baijia number, Baidu Wenku, Baidu input method and other products are developing and successively launching related AI functions, and NEWAPP and other products will be launched in the future.
Robin Li, founder, chairman and CEO of Baidu, said that when Wenxin Yiyan opens its services to hundreds of millions of Internet users on a large scale, it can get a lot of real-world human feedback, which will further improve the basic model and iterate Wen Xin's words faster to create a better user experience.
According to SenseTime, SenseChat can provide a text editor, intelligent partner, comprehensive knowledge base, mathematical calculator and programming assistant for various users.
However, the To B market is still the main direction of large model companies.
Zhou Hongyi, founder of 360, recently said at the 2023 Yabuli Forum Summer Summit that under the strategic background of industrial digitalization, the future opportunity of artificial intelligence large models is in the enterprise-level incremental market, large models will not become operating systems, the development path of large models is closer to computers, and even in the future, every family, enterprise, and every car will have a large model. Enterprises can first apply the most versatile and mature knowledge Q&A and writing generation capabilities of large models in various vertical scenarios, starting from the office scene and following the principle of "small incision and big depth".
In the near future, more fresh "blood" will be injected into the big model industry. The reporter learned from Tencent on August 31 that Tencent will officially release the mixed element model at the 2023 Tencent Global Digital Ecology Conference held in early September, but did not mention whether it is open to the public. Tencent previously said that the Tencent Mixed Element Model has entered the company's internal application testing stage, and many Tencent internal businesses and products such as Tencent Cloud, Tencent Advertising, Tencent Games, Tencent Fintech, Tencent Meeting, and Tencent Docs have been connected to the Tencent Mixed Element Model for testing and achieved preliminary results.
