Then again, Luo Ruiqing's life is full of ups and downs. He has been married twice. The first lady Gongping, although her fate with Luo Ruiqing was short-lived, she left a son. Due to the war, Gongping and his son lived in Sichuan for a long time, and it was not until the victory of the Anti-Japanese War that they were fortunate enough to reunite with Luo Ruiqing. But at this time, Luo Ruiqing was married to Hao Zhiping, and Gongping had to leave.
Luo Ruiqing and Hao Zhiping's marriage gave birth to seven children. Among them, Luo Yu is particularly outstanding and is the eldest son of the couple. Born in Yan'an in 1944, he showed unusual intelligence and talent from an early age and was favored by his family.
The young Luo Yu was like a fish in water, and was admitted to Tsinghua University at the age of 19. Just as he was about to spread his wings and soar, his home changed dramatically. His father, Luo Ruiqing, was framed, his legs were seriously injured, and he suffered a huge blow both physically and mentally. The children of the Luo family were also not spared.
During this difficult period, Luo Yu's heart underwent a huge transformation. It was not until 1977 that Luo Ruiqing was able to resume work, but Luo Yu's mental journey had changed.
The talented Luo Yu was later assigned to the army and was specifically responsible for the management of the aviation equipment department. Due to his outstanding performance, he was awarded the rank of senior colonel in 1988 and became a full division cadre. This position is both a challenge and a trial for Luo Yu. He has access to a lot of money and mastered the country's core technology.
However, money is often accompanied by temptation. Luo Yu gradually indulged in the vortex of money and power, began to accept bribes, and even wantonly encroached on state property. More seriously, he began selling state secrets. During an overseas business trip, he befriended Hong Kong actress Dina, and the relationship between the two accelerated his degeneration.
In 1989, the organization began a secret investigation of him, and Luo Yu, who sensed the wind, took advantage of his participation in the French Air Show and chose treason. Upon arrival in France, he submitted his resignation letter to the country. Although his family and organization persuaded him to return, he was determined not to return.
Finally, in 1992, Luo Yu was expelled from the military and the party. He went into exile and finally died in the United States in October 2020 at the age of 76.
