Registration time and method
Registration opens at 10:00 on September 1 and closes at 24:00 on September 15.
Runners can log in to the official website of the 2023 Xiangyang Marathon and choose one of the marathon, half marathon and health run events to register according to the age regulations of each event, or register through the official WeChat public accounts "Xiangyang Marathon" and "RUN Run".
All applicants must read and agree to the "Participation Statement", "Registration Instructions" and "Risk Warning", fill in all registration information truthfully and pay the registration fee as required to complete the pre-registration process. The registration fee is 120 RMB for the marathon, 100 RMB for the half marathon, and 20 RMB for the health run.
After the number of applicants for each project exceeds the quota, the qualification will be determined by random lottery. The results of the lottery are expected to be released at 10:00 on September 26, and applicants can view the lottery results on the official website or in the "personal center" of the WeChat public account "Xiangyang Marathon". If the winner is displayed, the quota will be obtained.
Participation quotas are personal only and cannot be transferred. Once the registration is successful, the entry cannot be changed, and if the competition is abandoned, the registration fee will not be refunded. The registration fee for those who have not been selected will be refunded according to the original payment method within 10 working days after the announcement of the lottery results.

The route of the 2023 Xiangyang Marathon will not be greatly adjusted, and only the Han River Bridge will be adjusted to the Phoenix Bridge.

Participant requirements
(1) Participants must present their ID cards (passports, military officer cards) and other valid documents to register in accordance with the age regulations of the following items. The specific age rules are as follows:
1. Marathon: Age limit is 20 years old or above (born before December 31, 2003).
2. Half marathon event: 16 years old and above (born before December 31, 2007).
3. Healthy Run: No age limit. Children under the age of 13 (born after December 31, 2010) must register and accompany their guardians at the same time.
4. Minors under the age of 18 must require their guardian or legal representative to know and agree to the competition regulations at the time of registration, and sign the participation declaration on their behalf when collecting the entry items before the competition.
5. Players over the age of 65 (born in or before 1958) must sign a declaration of participation by themselves and their immediate family members when collecting their items before the competition.
(2) Health requirements for participants
Marathon runners should be in good health and have a foundation to participate in regular running exercises or training. Participants should undergo a physical examination at a qualified medical institution and evaluate their physical condition in combination with the medical examination report to confirm whether they can participate in the marathon. Participants should choose one of the marathons, half marathons and health runs according to their physical condition and training level.
Passthrough quota settings
This year's Xiangyang Marathon will set up a direct quota channel:
1. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, you can complete the marathon and half marathon of the Xiangyang Marathon within the specified time for three consecutive years, and register for the Xiangyang Marathon in 2023 and successfully pay the fee, you can get the direct qualification without lot.
2. The 2023 Xiangyang Marathon will be conducted without lottery for applicants from Shiyan City, Suizhou City, Shennongjia Forest District and Nanyang City (participants must hold local ID cards or local social security cards when registering), and the top 300 runners who register in each of the four places will be eligible for free lottery (150 marathons, 150 half-marathons without lottery), while registration lasts. Applicants who exceed the quota will be drawn in a unified lottery.
Event Prize Money
The total prize fund of the 2023 Xiangyang Marathon is 418,400 yuan, an increase of 55,000 yuan compared with the previous event. Among them, there are 4 awards: marathon event ranking award, half marathon event ranking award, Chinese runner special award, and Xiangyang citizen special award.
The top 8 men and women in the marathon event will be rewarded, ranked by gunshots, and the maximum award will be 20,000 yuan;
The top 8 men and women in the half-marathon event will be ranked by net time results, with a maximum award of 8,000 yuan;
The Special Prize for Chinese Runners will reward the top 50 Chinese men and women who complete the marathon, ranked according to the net time score, this award will only be awarded to the full marathon runners, with a maximum award of 9,000 yuan;
The Xiangyang Citizen Award is awarded to citizens holding Xiangyang local ID cards or Xiangyang local social security cards, and the top 50 runners in the net time of the male and female marathon and half marathon will be awarded respectively, with the maximum reward of 3,000 yuan for the marathon event of the Xiangyang Citizen Award and the maximum award of 2,000 yuan for the half marathon event of the Xiangyang Citizen Award.
Here, we should remind citizens that they should choose whether they are Xiangyang citizens when registering, and cooperate with the organizing committee to screen and verify after the competition. If one person receives multiple rewards, they will be distributed according to the higher standard and will not be issued repeatedly.
