Kuranyo Gyatso was fifteen years old when he became a monk. After the death of his predecessor, the Dalai Lama, he was not immediately recognized like other Dalai Lamas. As a "boy born from the soul", Kuranyo Gyatso's life was also bumpy.

In the past decade, secular life has essentially shaped people's spiritual world and living habits. Therefore, the two lives of the "secular world" and the "divine world" have long been at odds with Cangyang Gyatso.

Later, Kuranyo Gyatso even lived a "two-faced" life: a majestic snow king during the day, and a romantic man nostalgic for red dust at night.

The death of the 5th Dalai Lama sings the praises of Gyatso

As one of the two major disciples of the Tibetan leader, the Dalai Lama has an extraordinary position in Tibet, and his power cannot be underestimated.

Unlike the "firstborn absorption system" established by the feudal lords, the Dalai Lama, as the supreme ruler of the Tubo territory, found another way to achieve the "reincarnation of a living Buddha" after his death. This is also a unique heritage of Tibetan Buddhism. Method.

The so-called "reincarnation of a living Buddha" refers to the search for "children with reincarnated souls" according to specific rituals and traditions after the Dalai Lama's death, and then another "Dalai Lama" is born.

When the Fifth Dalai Lama Lobsang Gyatso died at the Potala Palace, his henchman Sangye Gyatso did not inform the outside world that the Fifth Dalai Lama died for power.

Sangye Gyatso also declared that the Fifth Dalai Lama "will not meet strangers while meditating and practicing" and said he would be in charge of all religious affairs.

The Fifth Dalai Lama has often traveled to Tibet since he was a child. The fifth Dalai Lama is often in poor health when he reaches middle age. As we all know, various conditions such as pain in the hands and feet, uncomfortable movements, etc. have always been known to everyone. Therefore, he often withdrew and did not see guests.

Sangye Gyatso took advantage of this and fooled everyone who did not know, even the Kangxi Emperor.

The death of the Fifth Dalai Lama means that the period of peace in Tibet is coming to an end and a new wave of riots is about to take place.

At the same time, Sangye Gyatso was also secretly looking for the reincarnated "Sixth Dalai Lama", which later became Cangyang Gyatso.

Cangyang Gyatso was born in 1683 in the Nanmenyu region of Tibet, a family of Red religions.

The Cangyang Gyatso family originally lived in the Beit Tso Nadzong area, but later moved to a place called Ugin Forest at the foot of Mount Nara.

Coincidentally, this is also where Sangye Gyatso searches for the "reincarnated boy with a soul".

The remote, quiet and sparsely populated location of the mountain is very much in line with the mystery of Sangye Gyatso.

From childhood to adulthood, Kuranyo Gyatso's behavior was different from ordinary people.

Cangyang Gyatso loved reading and writing from the age of three. He often said that he was Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso and would live in the Potala Palace in the future.

Many people in the Menyu area also firmly believe that Cangyang Gyatso may be the reincarnation of the Great Living Buddha. When Sangye Gyatso heard about it, he also sent people to investigate, and later listed Cangyang Gyatso as one of the candidates for the reincarnation of the fifth Dalai Lama. According to the rules of the Yellow Sect, according to the prophecy of the Dalai Lama's past life, or who can accurately identify the stock of the Dalai Lama's previous life, it can be recognized as the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama. In May 1686, after recognizing the relics of the 5th Dalai Lama, Cangyang Gyatso first identified it as the reincarnation of the 5th Dalai Lama and was invited to live in Zonazong.

In order to continue to control the Yellow Sect, Sangye Gyatso hid Cangyang Gyatso for a long time.

It was only later that Gardan Khan clashed with the Qing Dynasty in order to expand his power, and the Qing emperor also happened to hear the news that Trump was killed in the battle to defeat Gardan Khan.

Faced with the Kangxi Emperor's questioning, Sangye Gyatso reluctantly told what happened, saying that he had found the reincarnated soul child of the fifth Dalai Lama.

In this case, Cangyang Gyatso became the "successor" of the fifth Dalai Lama. This is also the only "Dalai Lama" in the history of Tibet who is not of Tibetan and Mongolian descent.

From then on, the Dalai Lama of Cangyang Gyatso was destined to become a puppet of others for the rest of his life.

At that time, the Qing Dynasty was powerful, and Sangye Gyatso did not dare to challenge the authority of the central government.

On October 25, 1697, Cangyang Gyatso held an "enthronement" ceremony at the Potala Palace and officially became the sixth "Dalai Lama".

The Kangxi Emperor also collected a large number of jewelry for this purpose. This was also the first time in history that a Qing emperor intervened in the "reincarnation" of Lama Bian.

A boy whose reincarnated soul has been hidden for many years reappears in the world, and Kuranyo Gyatso finally lives in the Potala Palace as he predicted when he was a child.

From then on, Kuranyo Gyatso began to study the life of the "Buddha" under the strict supervision of Sangye Gyatso.

Although Cangyang Gyatso is nominally the supreme ruler of the Yellow Sect, in reality Cangyang Gyatso has no power base here.

On the other hand, Sangye Gyatso has been active in the church for many years, and various forces have long been intertwined and deeply rooted.

Although the Qing emperor wanted to support the sixth Dalai Lama, the power of the central dynasty was always beyond the reach of the emperor.

In the eyes of others, Cangyang Gyatso is the sixth living Buddha with high authority. Only Kuranyang Gyatso knew that from the moment he lived in the Potala Palace, he lost all freedom.

The double life of the sixth Dalai Lama

After Cangyang Gyatso entered the palace, he began to miss everything in his hometown.

When he was outside the palace, Kuranyo Gyatso was unrestrained and accustomed to freedom, but now in the palace, because he was tired of his studies, he gradually became anxious.

In fact, the real power of all affairs of the Yellow Sect has always been in the hands of Sangjie Gyatso alone. Cangyang Gyatso is just an unnamed "Sixth Panchen Lama". His identity was only a puppet used by Sangye Gyatso against the Qing dynasty.

According to historical records, on weekdays, Cangyang Gyatso's clothing, food, housing, and travel, and even his every move were monitored by others. Although it is guidance, it is actually guidance.

Even if he left, there were strangers behind Kuranyo Gyatso.

These people are always looking for various reasons to prevent Kurayoshi Gyatso from coming out. At this point, Cangyang Gyatso had to decide to "accept his fate". Rather than the fear of advice and endless study in the eyes of the monks, Kuranyo Gyatso prefers to study Buddhism hard to save his lonely soul. As a teenager, Cangyang Gyatso was naughty and active, but the dogmas of the Yellow Sect and the status of the "sixth Dalai Lama" restricted his freedom, and only the word "boring" remained in Cangyang Gyatso's life.

Cangyang Gyatso's daily life as a puppet is indeed extremely difficult.

According to historical records, since his accession to the throne, Cangyang Gyatso has been pushed into the complex political arena of fierce political struggle. Kept in the dark and didn't notice.

Later, the young Kurayoshi Gyatso finally realized the horror of the human heart, and gradually realized that he was just a noble puppet placed by Kuwajie Gyatso in front of others.

Kurakichi Gyatso's words and actions were carefully planned, and his actions were manipulated by others.

From the moment he became the "sixth living Buddha", his life was doomed to failure.

In such a desperate mood, Kuraki Gyatso began to try to break free from the heavy shackles of study.

"I want to find my soul," he said.

In the end, he chose a different kind of bohemian life.

Perhaps out of hatred for the clear precepts of the Yellow Sect, Cangyi Gyatso began to "rebel".

During the day, Kurayoshi Gyatso sits in a lofty position, admired and honored by the world, and is majestic and noble. Filled with loneliness and melancholy, Kuranyo Gyatso became a romantic youth who recited poetry at night.

For Kuranyo Gyatso, the biggest entanglement in the secular world is not power, but lust.

In the red dust, the life world of Kuranyang Gyatso began to become colorful.

Later, Zangji Gyatso met a beautiful folk girl at the foot of the snowy mountain. Her secular identity is that of Dasang Wangpo.

The Tibetan girl did not know that Darsang Wangpa's identity as a "living Buddha" was captivated by his handsome appearance.

Although the rules of the Imperial Church conflict with his love, Kuraki Gyatso chooses love without hesitation.

"The moment I entered eternal life, I just wanted you to be safe and happy.

This is Kurangichi Gyatso's view of love.

On such a romantic day, Kuraki Gyatso wrote many classic love poems.

It is no longer possible to talk about how Kuraki Gyatso wrote such romantic love poems, but Kuraki Gyatso's literary achievements are enough to say that he is "talented and beautiful".

Take your hand and follow you always; Kiss your eyes deeply and accompany you in your eternal samsara.

All laws in the world are safe, you, Rulai, classics...

These popular poems are masterpieces of Cangyi Gyatso and have had a profound impact on the history of Tibetan literature.

Like the Dalai Lama, Cangyang Gyatso wrote more than 300 love poems, which is an anecdote in itself, but his love poems are still widely circulated around the world today and have become the world's classic masterpieces for hundreds of years. An anecdote within an anecdote. In the mid-1920s, Cangyo Gyatso's love poems were translated into English and Chinese, and the Cangyang Gyatso Poems are still circulating around the world today. With the mystery of Kuranyo Gyatso, it has attracted more and more attention from the world. The Tibetan writer Liu Jiaju once commented on Cangyi Gyatso's poem: "There is no flowery rhetoric, but there are words in the heart, and only Cangyang Gyatso can write such a naked love poem." ”

So far, there are no less than tens of thousands of words of love poems and love songs of Kurangyoshi Gyatso, which have been circulated among the people, and have composed hundreds of tunes.

Cangyang Gyatso was just a boy at the time and liked women, but Huang Jiao strictly forbade dating, making him toss and turn.

Perhaps it is this mentality of not being able to love that makes Cangyang Gyatso write so many wonderful love poems.

Perhaps from another point of view, this is the true side of Cangyang Gyatso's endless romance.

With the coming of age of age in Cangyang Gyatso, political turmoil in Tibet became increasingly obvious, and political contradictions within the Mongolian-Tibetan clique became more intense.

In June 1705, conflict broke out between Sangye Gyatso and Razan Khan. The team recruited by Sangye Gyatso suffered a crushing defeat in Pengcheng and collapsed across the board. Sangye Gyatso was executed on the spot.

After Sangye Gyatso was killed, Razang Khan was naturally unwilling to support Sangye Gyatso's puppet "Sixth Dalai Lama" to continue to retain the throne, so he wrote to the Kangxi Emperor, calling Cangyang Gyatso a "fake camel Dalai Lama" and exposing Cangyang Gyatso's drunken and lecherous behavior.

Since the Qing government recognized Lazang Khan, some doubted whether Cangyang Gyatso was really the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama.

After a series of twists and turns, Cangyang Gyatso eventually became a victim of political conflict.

At the time of the Lhasa incident, Cangyang Gyatso was in his 20s.

As the sixth "Living Buddha", Kuranyo Gyatso often could not resist manipulating the fate of others, but he also had his own ideas and opinions, and also had a high status and social influence among the people.

In 1706, the Qing government, considering Cangyang Gyatso's influence in Tibet, ordered that Cangyang Gyatso be escorted to Beijing for liquidation.

In June, Rezan Khan expelled Cangyang Gyatso from the Potala Palace and announced that Cangyang Gyatso had been deposed and would be sent to Beijing.

Razang Khan's actions angered the local monks and lay people in Tibet. Later, the believers spontaneously formed an organization and attacked the convoy. Cangyang Gyatso, accompanied by his entourage, went to Drepung Monastery Ganden Pozhang Palace. Seeing this change, Lazang Khan mobilized troops to surround Drepung Monastery and directly launched artillery attacks on the monks in the temple.

In order to avoid more bloodshed, Kuranyang Gyatso took the initiative to release him.

However, there are many controversies and legends about the final achievements of the sixth Dalai Lama.

Some say Cangyang Gyatso stayed in northern Tibet for several months before heading to Qinghai. Later, when he arrived at Qinghai Lake in 1707, Cangyang Gyatso died of illness at the age of 24.

It is said that Cangyang Gyatso was also killed in Qinghai Lake by troops sent by Lazang Khan.

The life and death of Kuranyo Gyatso have thus become a historical mystery.

As for whether Cangyang Gyatso died during the escort, there are still many theories among the people. It is said that Cangyang Gyatso was imprisoned by the Qing emperor in Wutaishan and died in depression. There is also a theory that Kuranyo Gyatso's entourage secretly released him, and Kuranyo Gyatso ended up living the life he wanted. The most common story in Tibet is that Cangyang Gyatso traveled the world, made good friends, passed on the classics, and then returned to Mongolia and Qinghai, where he died.

Kuraki Gyatso's final whereabouts are long unknown, but these divergent legends undoubtedly cast a veil of mystery over the living Buddha.

Although Cangyi Gyatso is extremely amorous, according to the Yellow Canon, Cangyang Gyatso actually has no children.

Later, King Razo appointed Ishi Gyatso as the new sixth Dalai Lama, but he was never recognized by the Mongolian and Tibetan monks.

Under these circumstances, the Qing government sought Kelsang Gyatso, the "reincarnation of the sixth Dalai Lama", as the seventh Dalai Lama, and finally resolved the dispute over the abolition of Kong.

The "Sixth Dalai Lama" Cangyi Gyatso has always won the support and love of the Tibetan people.

To this day, Kurayoshi Gyatso's "love poems" are still widely circulated in later generations.

Kuranyo Gyatso's life was full of ups and downs.

After the Dalai Lama passed away, he had a Dharma body, and according to the Dharma body, he formed a golden body and built a spiritual pagoda with countless gold and gems. Only Cangyang Gyatso, life and death are a mystery, and people still go to him after all. The exact time and place of his death has not been announced.

In the past, life-size portraits of the Dalai Lama were enshrined in the Potala Palace Master Hall, including one of which was the sixth Dalai Lama wearing a special yellow silk hat made by the Dalai Lama. It is said that this world also belongs to Kuranyo Gyatso. A separate statue.

The fate of Cangyang Gyatso aroused the sympathy and nostalgia of many Mongolian and Tibetan monks, and even some representatives of the Qing government felt great regret for Cangyang Gyatso. The emperor's close minister Arlo was one of them.

Cangyang Gyatso's life is messy and scattered, and does not have the seriousness that a "living Buddha" should have. So why is it still loved by many people after the Kuranyo Gyatso incident?

Although Cangyang Gyatso is a puppet, Cangyang Gyatso, like other Dalai Lamas, actually has many miracles, enlightenments, and good deeds behind him.

It is precisely because of this that the Cangyang Dalai Lama has always been admired by people.
