It is reported that the new Lotus Emeya will make its world premiere on September 7, and the new car is likely to start production at the Wuhan plant within this year or early next year.
Judging from the video, the new Emeya has the popular split LED headlights installed on the front part, and the lower grille is blackened, and the low body further adds to the sporty atmosphere of the new car.
At the rear, the new car uses a through-type LED tail light cluster, and a liftable adaptive spoiler is added above the tailgate, and its body length will exceed 5 meters.
Lotus calls the new Chinese-made model the Hyper-GT, just as it calls the Eletre the world's first super SUV, which probably means the new car is very strong in terms of performance.
In terms of power, Lotus' all-new Emeya will launch entry-level and high-performance models for consumers to purchase.
Among them, the former will be driven by front and rear dual motors, with a maximum output of 450kW and a peak torque of 710Nm, and is equipped with a 112kW·h battery pack, with a WLTP cruising range of 600 kilometers and an acceleration of 4.5 seconds per 100 kilometers.
The high-performance version has a maximum output of 675kW, a peak torque of 985Nm, and the same powertrain as the Eletre R, accelerating to 100 kilometers in 2.95 seconds and reducing the cruising range to 490 kilometers.
In terms of price, the price range of the new car may be around 700,000 yuan to 750,000 yuan, and the main competitors in the same class include Porsche Taycan, Tesla Model S and NIO ET7 and other models.
