While developing production, young people also learned production techniques. Liu Hongying, a young intellectual from Sichuan, with a strong sense of responsibility for the rubber cause of the motherland, took the initiative to undertake the management task of 27 mu of young rubber forest. Her hard work and assiduous study of agricultural technology have changed the situation of land compaction and poor water retention in the forest land in more than a year, which has promoted the rapid growth of rubber seedlings and the survival rate of young trees has reached 97%.
"The countryside is a vast world where you can make a lot of difference." Over the past few years, of the more than 13,000 intellectual youths who have gone to the countryside, 251 have joined the Communist Party of China and more than 3,700 have joined the Communist Youth League.
