The public welfare activity was co-sponsored by Lanzhou Daily, Lanzhou Volunteer Service Federation and Lanzhou Youth Volunteer Association, and organized by Lanzhou Evening News and Lanzhou Puri Eye Hospital. In the next few months, Lanzhou Puri Eye Hospital will carry out 100 cases of public welfare cataract surgery for heroic veterans, good people and models, 1,000 pairs of public welfare myopia glasses for primary and secondary school students in poor areas and children with amblyopia from disadvantaged families in urban areas, 20 cases of strabismus surgery, 20 cases of amblyopia function training, and 1 case of public welfare laser lens removal surgery for poor and inspirational college students this year.
It is reported that since taking root in Lanzhou in 2005, in the past 18 years, Lanzhou Puri Eye Hospital has successively carried out the "One Million Poor Cataract Patients Restoration Project" project, Bright Eyes New Vision Care for Adolescents' Eye Health Public Welfare Action, Xingzhi China Light Up the Silk Road Bright Walk and other public welfare activities, accumulatively providing free eye health census for more than 50,000 teenagers, more than 5,000 pairs of free glasses, and thousands of public welfare surgeries for cataract patients with poor families and special circumstances.
