Completely suspend the import of Japanese fishery products

How serious are the consequences of eating nuclear-contaminated food?

According to CCTV, Fukushima nuclear contaminated water contains more than 60 radionuclides, such as tritium, carbon-14, iodine-129, etc., many of which have no effective treatment technology, and Japan has been misleading that "the problem is only tritium". Carbon-14 accumulates in marine organisms, i.e. fish, and the abundance or concentration of carbon-14 may be 50 times that of tritium. International environmental groups have found that ALPS cannot remove radioactive tritium and carbon-14, nor can it completely remove other radioactive isotopes, such as strontium-90, iodine-129 and cobalt-60.

Nuclear radiation radioactive substances can enter the human body through three pathways: the digestive tract, respiratory tract and skin. Radioactive substances that enter the human body continue to emit a variety of rays in the human body to cause internal radiation (you can imagine a gun that continuously fires bullets in the body). When radioactive substances reach a certain concentration, they can cause damage to the human body.

For example, the remaining carbon-14 in this nuclear sewage has a physical half-life of about 5730 years, which can persist in the sea for a long time. After the enrichment and concentration of the food chain of marine organisms, it is likely to enter the human body. Although the concentration of nuclear effluent will become lower after dilution, the continuous enrichment of the food chain of marine organisms will lead to the continuous concentration of radionuclides.

As the top of the food chain, human beings indirectly ingest various radioactive substances in seawater through the consumption of seafood, and the accumulation of radioactive materials in the human body is likely to exceed the safe dose. Each generation eats radioactive material, stays in the body, destroys DNA and inherits it, with unimaginable consequences of a slow cycle.
