The Meta Quest 3 VR headset was unboxed ahead of schedule and released in the fall

IT House news on August 24, according to a video on the X platform (formerly Twitter), a VR headset that is almost certainly Meta Quest 3 has been unboxed in advance, and the device was supposed to be officially released this fall.

In the video, you can see that the unboxer took out the headset and two Touch Plus grips from a brown box, and the device looks exactly the same as Meta showed when it announced the headset in June.

Recently, a VR headset suspected to be Quest 3 appeared in the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database, meaning it has been licensed for sale in the United States, so Meta is likely to be preparing for the launch of the headset. The company also promised to share more details about the headset at the Meta Connect event, which began on September 27.

Meta announced the Quest 3 VR headset on June 1, priced at $499 (IT House Note: currently about 3598 yuan), which will be available this fall. The headset is the latest addition to Meta's Quest series, boasting higher resolution, faster refresh rates, a more powerful processor, and a more comfortable design.

This isn't the first time the Quest series of headsets have been leaked in advance, as images and videos of the headset leaked out last October, a month or so before the Meta Quest Pro was announced, when someone left the device in a hotel room.
