National treasure painting focus丨The breathable clothing of the ancients knows the coolness and summer best

author:Xinhua

"The Seventy-Two Collections of the Moon Order" said: "Place, stop, the summer ends here." The ancients summed up the three seasons of summer: "The eagle is a sacrificial bird, the second is the beginning of heaven and earth, and the third is He." "The arrival of the summer solar term means that the heat gradually subsides and the coolness quietly increases.

However, the summer that has not yet gone still brings a feeling of heat, even if the fire flows in July and the summer is cold, there will be "autumn tigers" from time to time. Modern people can use air conditioners to adapt to temperature changes, so how should the ancients cope with the endless summer heat?

The answer may lie in the breathable clothing of the ancients. The "Luo" in "Ayara satin" is a kind of traditional silk fabric in the mainland, and all fabrics that are organized by skein are collectively called "Luo". Because the warp silk is twisted with each other, Luo will show pepper holes in the shape of pepper eyes, and with the blessing of silk, "Luo" can be described as a light and breathable "technological fabric" of the ancients.

The two lace in the picture are schematic diagrams of the patterned after coloring, and the pattern is from the "Huangsheng Tomb of the Southern Song Dynasty in Fuzhou".

This brown robe with painted lace was unearthed from the tomb of Huangsheng of the Southern Song Dynasty in Fuzhou and is now in the Fujian Museum. This wide-sleeved robe is made of Luo, with a split collar and a knee-length body, with a collar, placket, sleeve rim and hem sewn with lace. The two kinds of lace on the robe are extremely exquisite, the edge is printed with gold rose lace, and the outline of the rose flowers and leaves is printed in mud gold, and the leaves are filled with color; Inside the rim is a printed painted phoenix lace, interspersed with flowing clouds, when unearthed, the phoenix is orange-red, gray-white, and the flowing clouds are light blue.

"This Luo quality wide-sleeved robe, soft, light and breathable, plus the lace of the gold printing process, is low-key and luxurious, simple and romantic, and is the favorite 'cool dress' of aristocratic women of the Southern Song Dynasty." Ji Xiaofen, director of the China National Silk Museum, said.

After hundreds of years of sleep, the color of the brown robe with painted lace and wide sleeves has faded, in order to better present this gorgeous robe, we have restored its appearance on the girl's body according to the data.

With wide sleeves and flowing clothes, the romance of autumn is glamorous.

At this time, nature blesses the world with abundance—warm days and cold nights, and plants and trees falling; The fruit is full of branches and layers of forests.

The summer solstice, the autumn is getting stronger.

Cool and summer, full of style and far-reaching.
