#Film and television I will review##Restricted #"My Heart is Wild", an American romance film directed by David Lynch in 1990, starring David Lynch, Laura Dunn, Sherlene Finn and so on.
The movie tells the story of Thaler, who was imprisoned for something, and finally survived a few years of his career behind bars and was released, and his sweetheart Laura welcomed his release from prison. There are lovers who can be reunited again, but Lola's mother Mary has never liked Thaler and has been obstructing her daughter from communicating with Thaler, so the two have to elope and come to the south.
This is one of my favorite David Lynch films, and it's also a more transparent and understandable film by Lynch, and while that's not what I like most about it, the fact that it also makes Wild at Heart a good candidate to introduce someone to Lynch.
On the other hand, despite being more transparent and linear on the surface, I'm still not sure I've found the multilayered, bizarre subtext and symbolism hidden beneath the surface – though I've seen it a few times now. Let's say there really is something to work out, and in a way, it seems that the "deeper" hint is more of a distraction in this case, which is one of Lynch's more interesting films.
