Wang Haifeng, CTO of Baidu, pointed out that the core basic capabilities of artificial intelligence are understanding, generation, logic and memory. These four abilities are all shown in the application experience of "Wen Xin Yiyan". Wu Tian said that Wen Xin Yiyan has grown rapidly since its release in March this year, mastering more than 200 creative genres, 1.6 times the richness of content than in the early stage of release, 2.1 times the length of the thinking chain in the early stage, and 8.3 times the coverage of knowledge points in the early stage.

At the same time, Wen Xin Yiyan also further expands its capabilities through the plug-in mechanism. Wu Tian released and demonstrated the five native plugins officially launched by Wenxin Yiyan: Baidu Search, Scroll Document (document-based interaction), E Yanyi Diagram (data insight chart generation), Say Picture (image-based interaction), and Yijing Flow (text to video). At present, in the web version of Wenxin Yiyan, you can use three plugins at the same time, and understand, analyze and schedule through the capabilities of the large model to adapt to the demand scenarios.
From the on-site demonstration, it only took 5 minutes, and Wen Xin completed the work that would have taken about a week or two to complete, from industry research, brand analysis and selection, to the output of promotional videos, with the assistance of AI, the efficiency is very high. Not only that, Wen Xin Yiyan also has super code interpretation, rewriting, commenting, and generation capabilities. For example, when developers take over the code written by predecessors, Wen Xin can explain the code line by line, help developers better understand the content of the code, and can rewrite it more concisely according to requirements, as well as write test cases, output code implementation, and so on.
According to reports, Wen Xin, who has rapidly upgraded its technical capabilities, is accelerating the construction of ecology and promoting the development of large model applications. Developers are the vanguard of AI application implementation. At the meeting, Wu Tian released three major ecological initiatives for developers of "Wenxin One Word", including the large model community, the large model plug-in mechanism and the Wen Xin large model "galaxy" co-creation plan.
The developer community is the key support for ecological development. According to Wu Tian, China's largest AI community, "Flying Paddle AI Studio" (Galaxy Community), has now condensed 6.09 million development projects. With the development of large models, Baidu officially launched the Galaxy Big Model Community. The community provides developers with an integrated large-model development experience, and also provides rich product functions to facilitate developer communication. At present, the Galaxy Big Model Community has accumulated more than 300 large model creative applications.
The plug-in mechanism is an important measure to expand the capability boundary of large models and build a large model application ecology. Based on the core technology of "Wen Xin Yiyan", Baidu provides developers with a low-threshold plug-in development toolset (ERNIE Bot SDK), which can support the development of multiple types of plug-ins such as information services, tools, and innovation based on large language models. After the development is completed, the plug-in is connected to the platform to better connect with the Wen Xin one-word model and closely integrate with the application layer ecology.
Over the years, Baidu's "Great Voyage" program has injected inexhaustible innovation momentum into the development of artificial intelligence ecology, covering all aspects from talent training to industrial upgrading. Under the boom of large models, Feijiao launched the "Xinghe" co-creation plan of Wenxin large model, providing ecological and industrial resources and jointly promoting artificial intelligence application innovation with developers.
