In Nanbaixiang Street, Ouhai District, there is a special group of children, who come from all over the country to the Department of Hematology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University for stem cell transplantation. After transplantation, these children with thalassaemia need to stay warm for more than 1 year. "Children usually play with other poor children downstairs in the community, and it is difficult to integrate into other groups of children in the community." Parents of children with thalassaemia said that in the postoperative stage, children mainly have problems such as disconnection between learning and education for a long time, and small activity growth circles.

In order to provide a healthy environment for the healthy growth of thalassaemia children, in May this year, the "Medical Harmony Home" in Nanbaixiang Street signed a cooperation agreement with the Hematology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wen Medical University to jointly promote the "Poor Soul Meet, Build Dreams Together" poverty family care volunteer service project. The project provides a series of assistance services such as medical care, parent-child activities, parent counseling, and employment assistance by building a whole-process support system from warmthed to treatment to recovery, providing all-round care and support for underprivileged children and their families.

The "June 1st" Wenzhou Polar Ocean Tour, the group birthday party with laughter, the psychological support association for thalasharia families to relieve pressure, and the happy summer camp... Since the launch of the project, "Medical Harmony Home" has gathered more than 10 alliance units and volunteer teams to actively participate in the care of underprivileged families, explore the "semi-childcare model", provide heart-warming services for disadvantaged families who come to Wenzhou for medical treatment, and jointly promote the construction of Wenzhou's child-friendly city.

In July this year, a group of underprivileged families came to Wenzhou for follow-up treatment, and the Department of Hematology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University and the Medical Harmony Home actively communicated and cooperated with the alliance units to jointly implement services. For example, Wenzhou South Railway Station Passenger Home provides warm pick-up station services for families, and the Sunshine Land Poverty Volunteer Service Team is enthusiastic and cordial accompanying services. From the time the child decides to come to Wen for medical treatment, to the time when he leaves Wenwen and returns to his hometown after the diagnosis, the full-cycle volunteer service system makes the poor families feel warm.
