You know, in the recorded acupuncture medicine, the model used for acupuncture teaching came out in the Song Dynasty, when the king who created the bronze man only spent a lifetime of effort to create two sets of models, one of which is in the mainland national museum, and the other set has been lost for thousands of years and now suddenly appears, is there any sign of this?
Due to the awkward relationship between China and Japan at that time, we could not justifiably send an expert group to verify the authenticity of the acupuncture bronze man. This matter has always been a regret in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, and it was not until 20 years later that the mainland had the opportunity to send a team of experts to identify, in order to find out whether this acupuncture bronze man was the mainland's thousand-year-old national treasure "Song Tiansheng Acupuncture Bronze Man".
When the mainland expert team saw the scene in front of them, they were incredulous, and some people even burst into tears, because this bronze figure is exactly the same as the acupuncture bronze man in the mainland museum: its decoration and workmanship are exactly the same as the existing one in the mainland;
Not only that, but it even has the same internal structure, which can be opened along the midline above the head, and every acupuncture point on the body can be seen from the inside of the copper man.
The reason why this group of scholars reacted so much when they saw this is because of the medical knowledge and cultural heritage behind it.
The source of the copper man
In fact, the reason why this group of scholars is so gaffe is because this bronze figure records the most comprehensive acupuncture points, provides a complete explanation of later acupuncture therapy, and also records the incurable diseases and solutions that may occur at each acupuncture point, so when mainland Chinese medicine practitioners see this bronze statue, they will be so excited.
The traditional method of acupuncture and moxibustion has developed to the Song Dynasty for more than 800 years, when doctors regarded the "Emperor Mingtang Sutra" as a treasure, but due to the limited preservation period, there has been no complete diagnosis and treatment, most of the acupuncture is based on their own experience and feelings, and often unexpected things will occur.
Song Renzong's body has been in an unstable state during his reign and needs to undergo acupuncture for a long time, but the acupuncture techniques of the imperial doctor are different every time, which also leads to his condition cannot be solved at one time.
The repeated acupuncture provoked his Long Yan to be furious, and ordered that the king of the imperial court only research a complete system of acupuncture therapy, and let all the imperial doctors cooperate with him, to be very accurate, without the slightest error, otherwise he would be killed.
At that time, the king had no way to do this, neither had a history book to observe, nor could he refuse the emperor's instructions, and finally, he thought of a good way to create two bronze figures and mark acupuncture points on them.
For the material, he used copper outside, and the idea of mercury pouring after vacuum setting, so that the preservation life of the copper man was greatly improved, and it was not only a reference utensil, but even an exhibition as a collection.
After the copper man was made, Wang Wei also wrote the book "New Cast Copper Man Acupuncture and Moxibustion Picture Scripture" for the reference of later scholars. At this point, the unification of acupuncture therapy that has been passed down for more than 800 years, and the only bronze man that Wang has spent his life building, will be an extremely important milestone in the history of Chinese medicine.
When Wang only presented two bronze figures to the emperor, they were regarded as national treasures, and one statue was placed in the famous Hanlin Medical Hall at that time for observation; One statue was placed in Daxiang Guoji Temple for exhibition, and special personnel were sent to protect it in case of accidents.
However, in the subsequent war, the two bronze figures disappeared, and it was not until the Southern Song Dynasty that one of the bronzes returned to the royal family. After Kublai Khan established the Yuan Dynasty, a headache has always plagued him,
He also couldn't do anything about it, once during the discussion, a minister offered a plan, there was a bronze figure in the Southern Song Dynasty, and the bronze man had acupuncture points, and according to the acupuncture points to treat stubborn diseases, within three days, it would disappear.
After Kublai Khan heard this, he asked the Southern Song Dynasty to hand over the bronze man, and was forced to hand it over to him due to the helpless situation at that time. Due to the war, the copper man's body was already full of holes, and many acupuncture points could not be seen clearly, so he issued a proclamation to restore the complete copper man and reward gold. As the saying goes, "Under the heavy reward there will be a brave man", and Anigo, who was born in Nepal, took the proclamation.
Surprisingly, although he is not from the Central Plains, but his attainment in Chinese medicine, under his careful polishing, the copper man gradually returned to its original appearance, through this copper man Kublai Khan's stubborn disease was cured, and he was also reused and rewarded by the Yuan Dynasty royal family.
In the Ming Dynasty, the craftsmanship at that time was greatly improved, and there were more and more imitations of the Tiansheng Bronze Man, but no one could succeed when opened along the midline from the head, and the remaining original Tiansheng Bronze Man was included in the treasury and has been preserved to this day.
The other bronze man disappeared since the Southern Song Dynasty, and never saw it again, and because of this, mainland Chinese medicine practitioners will be pleasantly surprised when they see this bronze man, and unanimously think that the bronze man who disappeared has reappeared.
Then, after continuous research by experts, a disappointing conclusion was reached: the acupuncture bronze figure in front of him was not lost by the mainland. The bronze figure of the Song Dynasty was not all naked, and there was a cloth around his waist to cover his lower body, and the Japanese bronze figure did not have any shelter.
At that time, the Song Dynasty was more conservative, and the emperor also promised to put one of the acupuncture bronze figures in Daxiangguo Temple for exhibition, so he specially designed such a feature around the waist of the copper man.
The whereabouts of the "Song Tiansheng Acupuncture Bronze Man" on the mainland are still unknown, and the missing copper man is still the heart disease of countless Chinese medicine practitioners, which represents not only the wisdom crystallization of the ancient people on the mainland, but also a symbol of the history and culture of the mainland, and plays a pivotal role in the research of the field of traditional Chinese medicine, but its source is also ups and downs.
Truth
The owner of the Japanese museum said in a later article: "This bronze figure was copied by Yamazaki Tsujizen, the medical officer of the Edo Medical Museum at that time, according to the blueprint of the mainland copper man, and it used Ming Dynasty textiles at that time, so it will be more similar to the original."
And seeing his epitaph, the idea is even more accurate: "Entrusted by man, build a bronze man," and after the truth was revealed, the Japanese added time and year to the bronze man's introduction.
Mainland Chinese medicine practitioners have not given up the search for the "Heavenly Saint Bronze Man", for decades, the hard work paid off, and with the continuous efforts of mainland Chinese medicine practitioners, finally found the real "Song Dynasty Heavenly Saint Bronze Man," which waited for us alone in St. Petersburg, Russia for a long, long time.
Mainland physician Huang Longxiang saw the Heavenly Saint Bronze Man in the Hermitage Museum abroad, and this bronze figure is exactly the same as the existing one on the mainland, even the cloth placed on the waist and the exclusive characteristics on the top of the head in the Song Dynasty, which makes him very sure that this bronze man is the "Heavenly Saint Bronze Man" that has been lost by the mainland for thousands of years, and he spread the news to the motherland overnight.
So the next morning, I saw mainland experts waiting for the museum to open, and after getting permission, experts non-stop identification, when the results came out, the ending surprised everyone, this Heavenly Saint Bronze Man is the bronze man that the mainland has lost for more than a thousand years.
When we asked the Russian side to return this bronze figure, they did not agree, and in desperation, Huang Longxiang perfectly reproduced a bronze figure one by one and got a new acupuncture bronze man,

But now the return of the "Heavenly Saint Bronze Man" is as full of thorns as the development of Chinese medicine on the mainland.
Traditional Chinese medicine today
Traditional Chinese medicine has been valued by many people since ancient times, and acupuncture therapy in traditional Chinese medicine is widely spread. There is an ancient divine doctor Hua Tuo, the existing family of traditional Chinese medicine, the inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine can be described as a long history, from the Spring and Autumn Warring States, down to the present, traditional Chinese medicine has always been worth learning.
Taking Hua Tuo as an example, the world continues to study Chinese medicine in depth. Although in the past thousand years, but traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture has not been circulated, it is perfectly combined with modern times, for the teaching of traditional Chinese medicine and clinical trials to provide great convenience, "Tiansheng bronze man" can still play its role, providing a unified standard for acupuncture.
Since the inheritance of traditional Chinese medicine, many people have taken learning traditional Chinese medicine as an example, some intractable diseases that cannot be solved, acupuncture can greatly improve the condition. Western medicine pays attention to efficiency first in the treatment of diseases, but patients have to suffer a lot; Compared with traditional Chinese medicine, pay attention to regulating the patient's pathology, although the efficiency is slow, but very thorough.
In fact, no matter how the times change, as a mainland traditional culture, we should not abandon, always maintain inheritance, can not let history truly become "history", traditional culture is not only the wisdom of the ancients handed down, but also the summary of it, these are the precious wealth left to us, nothing can be exchanged.
Although the copper man of acupuncture has been lost, but our acupuncture technology has not been lost, it is not only used by us, but also to be inherited, it represents not only history, but also the crystallization of culture, is worth pursuing the traditional culture.
