In early spring and February, plum viewing is a unique treat. At the end of the spring festival seven-day holiday, I received an invitation from my photographers, drove to the national AAAA scenic spot Chaoshan to explore plums, departed from Shanghai in the morning of the eighth day of the first year, and arrived at the gate of the scenic East Park in two hours. Looking for plums, exploring plums, and appreciating plums, we found the old "Tang Mei" and "Song Mei" located in front of the Daming Hall.
Chaoshan, located in Tangqi Town, Yuhang, Zhejiang, is a plain hill with Tangmei and Songmei among the five ancient plums, and is one of the three major plum viewing resorts in Jiangnan. Entering the scenic spot from the East Garden, the first thing that catches the eye is the Xiangxuehai Lawn, which is surrounded by white plums, recreating the resort of the "Ten Mile Plum Blossom Fragrant Snow Sea" in the Chaoshan Mountains.
Entering the East Garden, the air is a fresh plum fragrance, the eyes are everywhere white, walking in the blossoming plum blossom forest, occasionally petals fall, very beautiful!
There are stone benches in the Qingyu Pavilion for visitors to rest.
In the early spring of each year, it is the season of plum blossoms, and the spring plums in the garden are blooming, the flowers spit out fat, the white snow presses the branches, and the fragrant orchids are intoxicating.
Starting from 6 or 700 meters from the East Garden, the mountain is covered with white plums.
Wangmei Pavilion
Stroll through the Meiling Mountains, admire the unworldly red, fresh white, away from the hustle and bustle, and forget the troubles and sorrows in your heart. Sniffing the wisps of plum blossom fragrance that emerges from this "Ten Mile Plum Blossom Fragrant Snow Sea", it is as if you have come to a paradise.
When the plum blossoms are in full bloom, the sun is shining and the temperature is right, which is a good time to take the children out.
On the way to the North Garden, both sides of the road are full of red plum blossoms, competing to open, as if warmly welcoming friends from all over the world!
The North Garden of chaoshan scenic spot is the core scenic spot, and Song Mei, Tang Mei, Lamei Wang and Daming Hall are all in this area.
On the stone door, Mr. Wu Changshuo's poem is engraved: "Ten years less than the sea of fragrant snow, plum blossoms remember me and I remember plums, when to buy the snow, I will pour a cup in front of the flowers."
There are five ancient plums in China, namely Chu Mei, Jin Mei, Sui Mei, Tang Mei, song mei, Chaoshan Daming Hall is the only two, one Tang Mei is in the courtyard of the hall, and the other Song Mei is outside the lobby door.
"Song Mei Ting", the plaque has the three characters of "Song Mei Ting" written by the famous calligrapher Yu Rentian.
Song Mei outside Daming Hall. This ancient plum has been weathered by wind and frost for 800 years, and the main trunk has dried up, but there are still fresh branches emerging around it, and some plum blossoms are scattered on the branches.
This ancient plum, originally a remnant of the Song Dynasty in the garden of Tangqi Fuwang, the Qing Dynasty once had several ancient plums in the Chaoshan Mountain, planted in the plum blossom forest in front of the Baoci (Fu) Temple, in the early years of the Republic of China, these ancient Song mei that were transplanted to the Chaoshan Still have an old plum tree, what is particularly valuable is that the general plum blossoms are five petals, but this Song plum is six petals, which should belong to a rare and famous species. Later, the plum tree died, and the garden technicians used genes to graft a new plum tree, which was still called Song Mei.
Daming Hall, formerly known as Baoci Temple. King Fu of the Southern Song Dynasty and Princess Zhan Yuzhen met in Chaoshan, and built a small house of plums and a golden house. After King Fu was taken captive by Jin Bing, the princess committed suicide by throwing herself into a well, and his son Song Zhenzong built the Ci Temple in memory of his mother as a memorial. It was burned down in 1933, leaving only the Floating Incense Pavilion.
In the garden, plum blossoms are planted everywhere. Tang Mei and Song Mei let us travel through time and space and enjoy the fragrance of plum!
The Daming Hall is built with a two-story floating incense pavilion, dignified and upright, with a winged eaves, and a book by the famous calligrapher Sha Menghai.

This is the "Tang Mei" located in front of the Fuxiang Pavilion of daming hall. Whether it was planted during the Tang Dynasty can not be verified, there is a legend that the plum tree was planted by tang Yu, a righteous soldier of the Southern Song Dynasty, named Tang Mei in honor of him; some people say that the plum tree was originally grown in a private garden in the nearby town of Tangqi, and later transplanted here, so "Tang" was used as "Tang" and misrepresented as Tang Mei. This plum iron dried branches, graceful posture, although weathered by the wind and frost, still stand proudly, old and strong and bloom every year, attracting a wave of tourists to come to worship.

There is a well in front of Daming Temple, the well water is sweet, next to the tree stone, engraved: "One person hall, two obscure heavy light, spring depth ruler one, point to the ice side; two people connected, not owed to one side, three beams and four pillars of fire, but add double hooks for two days." "Inscription. This is actually a word puzzle, which is now carved on the stone wall on the side of Daming Hall. The Guiyuan Cong Tan records: "Ling Hu Xianggong went out of the town of Huaihai Day, supported the envoy Ban Meng, and all the people engaged in it, toured the west corridor of the Daming Temple, overlooked the front wall, inscribed with this inscription, all the guests could not distinguish, the single class branch envoy said: 'If it is not the water of the Daming Temple, there is no such eight characters in the world?'" Everybody was in a trance. Then the mystery should be "Daming Temple water, the world has no (none) this" eight characters.
Chaoshan Mountain is divided into four parts: East Park, South Park, North Park and Mountaineering Area, with a radius of more than ten square kilometers, all of which are traveled, at least for several days. Today, it took us less than two hours to roughly walk from the East Garden along the path to the North Garden, and we could only admire the plums. Fortunately, I saw Tang Mei and Song Mei, and I did not waste this trip.
