The "Sun God Bird" pattern on the main stadium of Dong'an Lake Sports Park is assembled by 12,540 trapezoidal colored glazed glass, and the glass assembly and bonding use green building material silicone sealant.
For the first time in the southwest region, the "prefabricated clear water concrete grandstand panel" is adopted on a large scale, and this new material is 100% factory customized production, without cast-in-place and no decoration, which is the most environmentally friendly construction method at present.
The façade of the three halls is decorated by horizontal metal louver components with a strong sense of science and technology, presented in an overall unified form to achieve the organic integration of functional space.
The metal roof of the venue also hides the code of technology. 54,000 square meters of metal roofing system, including vertical seam roofing system and decorative aluminum plate system, to achieve dripping water.
The roofs are designed with sound insulation and energy saving, and the built-in thermal insulation layer and other 13-layer structures can fully save energy in addition to the role of roofing.
During the construction process, the on-site 3D scanning is used to model the drawing through BIM, and the actual site is restored at a height of 1:1, and the installation accuracy is controlled within 2 mm to ensure the beauty of the design.

According to a previous report by Chengdu Daily, the relevant person in charge of the Chengdu Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau introduced that the venue planning fully considered the needs of the event, prudently selected and planned the site, and made maximum use of the existing venues, and finally determined the renovation and upgrading of 36 existing venues and the planning and design of 13 new venues, effectively avoiding duplicate construction and waste of resources.
As the only venue listed in Chengdu's "Old Urban Memory Building" among the many venues of the Universiade, the Sichuan Provincial Gymnasium is the first large-scale upgrading and renovation in more than 30 years, and it is also one of the venues with the most difficult construction, the largest investment amount and the tightest construction period among the venues renovated by the Universiade.
Through the implantation of low-carbon intelligent technology, the establishment of advanced lighting control systems, HVAC equipment, automatic fire sprinkler systems and other modern facilities to achieve iterative upgrading of venue functions.
Chengdu University Gymnasium is one of the venues for volleyball at the Chengdu Universiade, where 18 volleyball matches will be held.
In line with the principle of thrifty competition, the gymnasium of Chengdu University has been renovated, and the concept of green, low-carbon, environmental protection and thrift has always run through the transformation.
The transformation involves special projects such as architecture, fire protection, ventilation, sports technology, etc., after the transformation, 600 square glass lighting wells serve as natural light sources, and new glass materials can be insulated.
Located in the north of downtown Chengdu, the Phoenix Mountain Sports Park is one of the new core venues of the Chengdu Universiade, and its ice basketball hall will hold the Universiade basketball final.
