This morning (22nd), the opening ceremony of the athletes' village of the 31st Summer Universiade in Chengdu and the welcoming ceremony of the Chinese university sports delegation were held in the athletes' village.
At the ceremony, the national flag of the People's Republic of China was first raised, followed by the flag of the International Federation for Sports, the flag of the Chinese Association of General Sports, the flag of the Organizing Committee of the Chengdu Universiade, and the flag of the Chinese delegation. The official opening of the athletes' village means that college athletes from all over the world are fully prepared for the competition in Chengdu.
It is reported that more than 300 members of the Chinese delegation's 13 sports teams, including taekwondo, martial arts, judo, tennis, table tennis, archery, swimming, diving, men's water polo, athletics, men's basketball, women's basketball, and rhythmic gymnastics, have successfully moved into the athletes' village.
The Universiade Village is equipped with technological facilities such as autonomous buses and next-generation AI intelligent translation. Various cultural activities such as Chinese excellent traditional culture experience, "Chinese Bridge" Chinese learning interactive experience will also be carried out in the Universiade Village.

The Chengdu Universiade will be held from July 28 to August 8, with a total of 18 sports and 269 sub-events, during which educational activities such as the FISU World Academic Conference and various cultural exchange activities will be held, and a number of high-quality point routes will be launched to further promote exchanges between Chinese college athletes and college athletes from various countries and regions in the world.
