Zhuang Lang: The scenery of Gejia Cave embedded in the cliff

The mountains are stacked with mountains, Saga is steep, boulders are falling into the sky, and streams are babbling westward. In summer, walking into the Gejiadong Scenic Area, dense natural forests, wild flowers and shrubs are intertwined to form a quiet and elegant fairy mountain scenery, wandering in the summer forest and sea, a poetic landscape picture is displayed in front of the eyes of tourists.

Gejia Cave is located in a deep mountain valley in Gexia Village, Yongning Town, Zhuanglang County. Gejia Cave, also known as Yuntai Mountain, also known as Linguan, has been quietly located in the depths of Guanshan for thousands of years. Gejiadong was built during the Yonghe period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and during the Northern Wei Dynasty, cave temples were excavated, containing immortal beds, immortal rocks and statue stone carvings, and the four main grottoes were distributed on the cliffs forty or fifty meters high.

In midsummer, the Gejia Cave is stacked with mountains, lush pines, dense pines, and caves are hidden in between; White clouds, deep and quiet forest, beasts rushing and warblers, birds chirping like a tide, walking among them, it is a wonderful place to escape the summer and recreation.

"Come here to play, the scenery inside is very good, there are many temples in it, it is a culture, it is the inheritance of our Chinese culture, after coming, I feel that it is very suitable for tourists from other places to come in for sightseeing, which is equivalent to away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can feel the beauty of natural scenery." Tourist Li Siyao said.

This cave, hidden in the depths of Lingfeng Cuiling, was the practice place of Ge Hong, a physician, Taoist and alchemist of the Jin Dynasty on the mainland. When Ge Hong came to the sparsely populated hinterland of Guanshan, lofty mountains, clouds and mist, and immortal qi steaming, he suddenly felt that this was nature's gift to him, so he stopped walking. In this place called Yuntai Mountain, Ge Hong and three apprentices including Chen surnamed Chen brought from the south began a new life of Fangshi. As a religious theorist of Confucianism and Taoism, and a medical scientist engaged in alchemy and medical treatment, he practiced here for many years, refining pills and enlightenment, and writing books and teachings.

After the Song Dynasty, it became a religious site for the integration of Buddhism and Taoism, with morning bells and evening drums, melodious Buddhist trumpets, fireworks and pilgrims, and a long reputation. It can be seen that Gejiadong is a tourist attraction with a flourishing incense. To this day, in Gexia Village, southwest of Gejiadong, Ge Hong's descendants still tell the deeds of their ancestors. The precious cultural heritage left by Ge Hong will continue to benefit thousands of Chinese sons and daughters.
