Jul 16, 2023: GIGABYTE prepares to launch the RTX4060 Knife Card
With a TGP of just 115W, the RTX 4060 is by far the lowest power Ada Lovelace desktop graphics card. Therefore, we can see that many manufacturers' RTX 4060 is a dual-heat pipe dual-fan cooling design, and there are also ZOTAC RTX 4060 SOLO single-fan ITX small cards, and according to VideoCardz, GIGABYTE will further compress the size of the graphics card and launch the half-height RTX 4060.
VideoCardz shows a multi-angle view of this graphics card, you can see that it is a half-height dual-slot design, and the picture is pre-installed with a full-height bezel, and in general, manufacturers will also provide a matching half-height bezel for compatibility with more chassis. In terms of heat dissipation, the graphics card adopts a three-fan design, and you can see that its shroud is slightly longer than the PCB. The graphics card is powered by a single 8pin interface, at the end of the PCB. Also, it can be seen that it does not have a backplane. It is worth mentioning that although this RTX 4060 is only a half-height specification, the video output interface is as complete as a full-height graphics card, with a total of two HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4.
Considering that the mainstream half-height graphics cards on the market are still entry-level RX 6400 and GTX 1650, I believe that this graphics card launched by GIGABYTE in the future can meet the needs of half-height graphics card users with higher performance requirements. However, as of press time, we still do not know the release date, price, or even its official name.
INCIDENTALLY, GIGABYTE CURRENTLY SELLS A TOTAL OF 5 RTX 4060, EXCEPT FOR THE RTX 4060 WINDFORCE OC 8G, WHICH IS A DUAL-FAN DESIGN, THE OTHER FOUR GRAPHICS CARDS ALL USE A THREE-FAN DESIGN.
