Preliminary plans for China's manned lunar landing were announced.
The plan proposes that China plans to achieve the goal of a manned lunar landing around 2030. According to the plan, China will first try unmanned lunar missions, including lunar probes and lunar rock sample return missions, to accumulate technology and experience. Subsequently, China will conduct experimental missions to the moon, including lunar orbital flights and lunar surface activities. Finally, China will carry out a manned lunar mission, achieving the goal of landing Chinese astronauts on the moon for the first time. This series of missions will help to deeply study lunar resources, lunar base construction and other related scientific issues, while laying the foundation for future deep space exploration.
The initial programme does include the use of two launch vehicles. Specifically, China plans to launch a lunar lander and a manned spacecraft into orbit around the moon, and then rendezvous and dock in orbit. Astronauts will enter lunar landers from manned spacecraft and then conduct missions such as exploration and scientific experiments on the lunar surface. This approach helps ensure the safety of manned spacecraft and lunar landers and provides a stable environment for astronauts to work and explore. Such a phased mission is designed to gradually achieve the goal of a manned lunar landing and ensure the success of the mission and the safety of astronauts.
