Lab Introduction
The Laboratory of Natural Language Processing and Social and Humanistic Computing (THUNLP) of the Department of Computer Science of Tsinghua University is the earliest scientific research unit in China to carry out natural language processing research. Focusing on natural language processing with Chinese as the core, the laboratory carries out systematic and in-depth research on large-scale pre-training models, Chinese information processing, machine translation, social computing, smart education and knowledge graphs, etc., which has great academic influence at home and abroad. In recent years, the laboratory has undertaken a number of important research tasks such as national key research and development projects and major projects of the National Social Science Foundation, and has established close academic cooperation with Tencent, Huawei, Alibaba, Meituan and other enterprises.

Sun Maosong, Tenured Professor of Computer Science of Tsinghua University, Executive Vice President of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Tsinghua University, Foreign Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the International Society for Computational Linguistics (ACL), Chinese Society for Technological Intelligence (CAAI), and China Society for Chinese Information Processing (CIPS), Chief Scientist of Natural Language Processing at Beijing Zhiyuan Institute of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI). In recent years, he has published more than 200 papers in top international journals or conferences in the field of artificial intelligence and natural language processing such as ALC, EMNLP, AAI, etc., cited more than 33,000 times by Google Scholar, and obtained more than 50 invention patents authorized by the state. As the chief scientist, he presided over the completion of the National Key Basic Research and Development Program (973 Program) and the major project of the National Social Science Foundation. He has won the first prize of natural science of the Ministry of Education, the first prize of Qian Weichang of the Chinese Society of Chinese Information Technology, the first prize of the Chinese Information Processing Science and Technology Award, and the best presentation paper of ACL.

Research directions and available resources
1. Ultra-large-scale pre-training model: It mainly conducts systematic research on the training, fine-tuning, and reasoning of the 100-billion-level ultra-large-scale pre-training model with Chinese as the core to support various artificial intelligence applications.
2. Controllable text generation: mainly engaged in the research of controllable text generation direction based on large-scale pre-training model, covering different generation tasks such as poetry generation, abstract generation, and paraphrase generation.
3. Cross-modal: mainly engaged in cross-modal graphic analysis research, comprehensive use of multimodal information and multiple knowledge, in-depth understanding and analysis of image semantics, support important artificial intelligence applications.
【Provide resources】 The laboratory can provide sufficient computing power (hundreds of A100/A800 GPUs), data and other research resources, and also have sufficient funds to support manual data annotation.

4. Experience in large model, text generation, and multimodal related research is preferred;
5. Strong programming ability is preferred.

(2) Postdoctoral fellow
【Job requirements】
1. Have obtained a doctoral degree (within 3 years) or a fresh doctoral graduate (have met the requirements for dissertation defense), and are under the age of 35 (not included);
2. As the first author, he has published more than 1 high-level paper in the fields of artificial intelligence and natural language processing;
3. Active thinking, courage to innovate, with strong enthusiasm for technological innovation and research and development;
4. Strong sense of responsibility, diligent work, good team consciousness and cooperation spirit;
5. Experience in large model training and reasoning, or relevant research experience in text generation is preferred; Strong programming ability is preferred.
