As the 7th in the men's 100m breaststroke at the 1996 Olympic Games, Zeng Qiliang was once known as the "Asian Frog King" and set an Asian record.

According to the official website of the Doumen District People's Government of Zhuhai, Zeng Qiliang is currently a member of the party group of the Doumen District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, responsible for helping Guizhou Meitan work.
After retiring, Zeng Qiliang also participated in the Master Swimming World Championships with a group of famous players, and continued to maintain the habit of swimming.
