During inspections of construction projects by the NSW Fair Trading NSW, flaws in various developments were identified, including cracks, water leaks and inadequate fire safety measures, according to The Telegraph.
Since the end of February, 25 buildings across the state have received rectification orders and are required to fix defects, the data showed.
Ben Hemsworth, managing director of Somerville Legal Law Firm, said there had also been an increase in Sydney owners seeking legal advice for flaws in their buildings.
