Therefore, Yellen came to China in the hope that China could buy a large amount of US bonds and solve the crisis for them. But asking China to buy a lot of U.S. debt is undoubtedly asking us to take over the current mess in the United States.

But the United States should realize that it is 2023, not 2008. At that time, China was willing to buy U.S. bonds, but that doesn't mean we still will buy them now. Especially when the United States is so insincere and the relationship between China and the United States is so rigid. The United States also wants China to buy a large amount of US debt, which is simply a fantasy.
In addition to buying U.S. bonds, the United States also needs a large amount of goods exported from China. Although the United States has been clamoring for "decoupling and disconnection" and "de-risking", as the US Treasury Secretary, Yellen is very clear that the United States is inseparable from China in many fields. If the two sides can resume cooperation in the fields of digital economy, artificial intelligence, and new energy, then the US economy will inevitably be eased.
But these goals can only be achieved if China is willing to help. But now the United States, saying one thing and doing another, backtracking on both sides and three cuts, what to use to make China believe in the United States?
What's more, the matter of Blinken's change of face when he returned home was just around the corner. Whether Yellen's visit to China can take place is still unknown, and even if it does, it is difficult to say whether Yellen's goal can be achieved.
In short, if the United States really wants to talk, it must show sincerity. Otherwise, China will not be used to it.
