DC today announced James Gunn's new version of the Superman movie - "Superman: Legacy" starring: David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Superman's girlfriend Louise Lane.
Corenswet is best known for his breakthrough role in Netflix's "Politician," while Brosnahan starred in the series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
In addition, as a co-builder of the new DC Universe, "Superman: Legacy" director Gunn also confirmed the news. Gunn wrote: "That's right! They are not only great actors, but also great people. ”
Earlier, Gunn revealed that Corenswet, Brosnahan and Nicholas Holt were all candidates for the role.

Superman: Legacy tells the story of Superman reconciling his Kryptonian legacy with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smoville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way, guided by human goodness in a world where goodness is seen as obsolete.
Earlier this year, Gunn and Safran rebooted the DC Universe, the first chapter was titled "Gods and Monsters", and the two developed an 8-10 year plan, with "Superman: Legacy" directed by Gunn himself, and other announced films including "Batman: Valiantary" and "Swamp Monsters" and more.
