The predecessor of Baimao Village should be Nanguan Village. In ancient times, the Nanguan of Linhe City was not flooded by the Yellow River because of its high terrain. It became a refuge for the fleeing people, which is where Nanguan Village appeared. Later, there was a village here, and the name of the village became White Cat Village.
Legend has it that because of the presence of rats here, the villagers raised a large white cat, and this habit was also used, so the name of the village became White Cat Village. After time precipitation, the name of White Cat Village was mistaken as White Hair Village, which also became the name of the current village.
The land area of Baimao Village is very vast, and the whole village is composed of several big surnames, and the families of each big surname live together to form a small village. This is also to distinguish the families with different surnames in the village, so they are called "Li Street", "He Street" and "Xing Street", and the entire village is collectively called "Baimao Street". Due to the large population of the village, the surrounding villages are also called "Big White Hair".

In order to facilitate farming, some families surnamed Han and Guo moved to Liangzhuang Town and the Yellow River Old Road adjacent to Hua County, forming the current Nanhanzhuang and Dahe villages, and some others moved to the west of the village, becoming the current West Baimao Village. Folklore of Baimao Village
The village is rich in folklore, the most famous of which is the heroic hymn of the village. During the People's Liberation War, an amazing incident occurred in Baimao Village. On March 23, 1949, Wang Sanzhu, a bandit in northern Yubei, took a traitor and a group of outlaws to the village to arrest Communist Party members, and in order to protect the Party organization and the masses, the villagers rose up to resist, and 26 Party members, cadres, militia and villagers unfortunately died.
In order to commemorate these heroes, there is now a monument to the martyrs of the People's Liberation War at the intersection of Xingfang Village, Lifang Village and Guofang Village, recording the feats of these heroes.
In addition, there is a legend about the village of Baimao, it is said that in ancient times, there was a hill called Long'er Gang, and there was a strange gem on it, which could cure all diseases, which was prayed by all people. The people of the village often went there to pray for the protection of the gods and maintain the peace of the family.
However, this magical gem suddenly disappeared one day, and the villagers were very disappointed that they could no longer receive the bounty it brings. Until one day, a young man named Li Baimao came to the village, and he had a strange stone like the jewel on Long'er Gang. He left the stone to the village of Baimao and led them out of the difficulties and dangers to build a prosperous new village. Therefore, Baimao Village is also known as the "Magic Village".
