The 500 kV Bazhong substation is located in the territory of Sumubai Tonggacha, Urat Zhongqi, Bayannur City, equipped with 2 sets of 500 kV 750 MWA main transformers, 7 times with 220 kV new energy outlets, with a total capacity of 1650 MW, connected to the main network through 500 kV Bad double loop, the average maximum active power in the past 3 years is 1287 MW, the average power is 748 MW.

The project is the first key engineering project carried out in the system of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Group, and a high-resistance full-capacity operation group of the magnetron busbar in Bazhong has been specially established, the magnetron high-resistance ontology model has been innovatively optimized, the full-capacity dynamic response characteristics simulation analysis and overvoltage simulation analysis have been carried out, and the test plan has been carefully compiled to ensure the smooth operation of the project. At the same time, it actively communicates and coordinates with North China Power Grid, anticipates and sorts out various possible risks in advance, and prepares detailed control measures. After unremitting efforts and 59 hours, the work was successfully completed.

The success of this test effectively solves the problem of frequent voltage crossing in Urart, fully guarantees the safe and stable operation of a high proportion of new energy power system, and is of great significance to play the role of magnetron high resistance full capacity continuous adjustment and improve the automatic regulation ability of regional grid voltage reactive power, which is an important breakthrough of Inner Mongolia Electric Power Group in the application of new technologies and new equipment to solve the technical problems of the power grid, and adds "lubricant" to the smooth delivery of new energy in the autonomous region.
