Chen Sanli (Chinese: 陈三立; pinyin: Zhān līn Lên), courtesy name Bo Yan (字伯彦), was a native of Yining (present-day Xiushui), Jiangxi, a scholar in the 12th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1886), who served as the editor of the Sanguan and the head of the bureaucracy, and his father, Chen Baozhen (陈宝箴箴) and the Governor of Hunan at the time of the Reformation of the Law. Chen Sanli, Tan Sitong, Xu Renzhu and Tao Jucun, known as the Four Princes in Hai Nei, were famous for their talents.
