About the College
The School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation of Huazhong University of Science and Technology originated from the undergraduate major of automatic control established by the former Huazhong Institute of Technology in 1956, and began to recruit graduate students in 1961. In 1998, it was the first batch of doctoral degrees in control science and engineering, and in 2007, it became the first batch of first-level national key disciplines of control science and engineering.

1. Retest content
The content of the retest is generally divided into three parts: professional theoretical knowledge test, comprehensive quality and ability test, and foreign language listening and speaking ability test.
1) Professional theoretical knowledge test, using written examination. It mainly assesses comprehensive knowledge and application ability such as microcomputer principles and computer C language. Exam time: 90 minutes.
2) The comprehensive quality and ability test is conducted through an expert group interview.
(1) Candidates' personal statement of 2-3 minutes, introducing the academic background, scientific research activities or experience, personal interests, etc. at the undergraduate level;
(2) The examiner will ask candidates comprehensive questions about ideological and political quality, scientific research ability, etc., 8-10 minutes.
3) The foreign language listening and speaking ability test mainly includes:
(1) Personal self-report of 2-3 minutes, introducing the basic information such as personal academic background at the undergraduate level;

2. Retest score calculation and admission principles
The retest score is 100 points, including 20 points for the English listening and speaking ability test, 40 points for the professional theoretical knowledge test, and 40 points for the comprehensive quality ability test.
When calculating the total score, the preliminary test score (converted to a 100-point scale according to the method of "preliminary test score/full score in the preliminary test × 100") accounts for 60%, and the retest score accounts for 40%. Within 2 days after the end of the retest, the total scores will be sorted and published by major.
If the total score is the same, priority will be given to the retest results; If the retest results are the same, priority will be given to the comprehensive quality ability test results.
