Where was the Western Jin Dynasty? In fact, in the early years of the Western Jin Dynasty, there was no Zhongqiu State or Zhongqiu County, only one Zhongqiu County (present-day Xishili, Neiqiu County, Hebei), which was in the territory of the Western Jin Dynasty and Jizhou, which was originally part of the Zhao State. In the sixth year of Taikang (285 AD), Sima Yan began to further increase the number of counties, so he upgraded Zhongqiu County to Zhongqiu County. Between the first year and the second year of the reign of Emperor Sima Zheng of Jin (291-292 CE), Sima Hong, the former king of Taiyuan, was sent to Zhongqiu Commandery (中丘郡) and became the King of Zhongqiu.
The first King of Zhongqiu, Sima Hong. Sima Hong was the grandson of Sima Fu, the third son of Sima Fu and the son of Sima Fu the Prince of Taiyuan. Sima Hong had originally inherited his father's title, and after serving as King of Taiyuan for about seven or eight years, he was renamed king of the Zhongqiu Kingdom. After Sima Hong's death, his son Sima Shuo inherited the title of Prince of Zhongqiu, and like most of Sima Zong's collaterals, Sima Shuo's reign was mediocre and did not do anything earth-shattering. After serving as the queen of Zhongqiu for eighteen years, the unfortunate Sima Shuo encountered the chaos of the last years of the Western Jin Dynasty. He himself also appeared in the funeral procession that sent Sima Yue to the funeral in April of the fifth year of Yongjia (311 AD), and as a result, he became a prisoner of Shi Le, and the zhongqiu state was extinct.
