This year marks the 30th anniversary of five monuments, including the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, being listed as a world cultural heritage. At the same time, with the Olympic flame ignited and transported to Beijing, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics officially entered the countdown. Recently, the Book China Beijing Reading Season took this opportunity to hold a number of reading activities with the theme of "Reading a Hundred Years of Road, Exhibition and Reading a New Journey".

The "Beijing Central Axis" activity of Beijing university students' field exploration of the central axis is one of them. At the fifth event held recently, the Beijing Reading Season united with the UIREADING Society of the University of International Business and Economics, and invited Yang Zheng, the keynote speaker of the Program "Xu Xu Dao To Talk to Beijing" of Beijing People's Radio, as a guest to speak while walking. The tour starts at Yongdingmen and heads north along the central axis of Beijing, passing through Qianmen Avenue, Jingshan Park, and finally reaching the beijing bell and drum tower.
The person in charge of the organizer said that he hopes to hold the "Beijing Central Axis of Reading" activity to let more people understand the diversity of reading activities, and at the same time understand the central axis of Beijing and help Beijing Central Axis apply for heritage.
Recently, the Book Fragrance China, Beijing Reading Season, and The College Students' Reading Festival also joined hands with the Library of Beijing Youth University of Political Science and the Youth League Committee to hold a reading activity with the theme of "Winter Olympic Reading And Running - Welcoming the Winter Olympics and Promoting the Olympic Spirit" in the central square of the college.

Students receive blind bags of books
The activities are divided into three sections: the Winter Olympics Cheering Run, the Winter Olympics Reading Knowledge Exhibition, and the Winter Olympics Knowledge Answers. The participants first enter the "Winter Olympics Refueling Run" section, complete 1000 meters in 10 minutes, record through the mobile phone software, upload and get the results, and receive a blind bag book. The "Winter Olympic Reading Knowledge Exhibition" section is a selection of 20 Winter Olympic knowledge questions, and the organizers hope that students will gain knowledge of the Winter Olympics through reading. The third section requires students to complete 50 questions and answers related to the Winter Olympics in 10 minutes, and encourage them accordingly according to the results.
Li Yuanyuan, a student majoring in tourism English from the class of 2019, said that the "Winter Olympics Reading Cheering Run" activity was both knowledgeable and interesting, which made her harvest full. Gao Shuo, a student of the class of 2020, said that this activity allowed him to enter the Winter Olympics in advance and ignited the passion for the Winter Olympics.
