About the name
Lion Mountain is the abbreviation of Lion Mountain, known as Mount Pei Lai in ancient times. The mountain is undulating and majestic, like a lying lion roaring up to the sky.
According to records, the tomb of King Wu Ji is in Shishan Mountain. In the Tang Dynasty, Lu Guangwei's "Records of Wu Di" wrote: "Mount Beiwei is in the west of Wu County, and King Wu's staff is buried in this mountain. And the death of King Wu is also quite legendary, and the story of the fish belly hiding the sword and stabbing Wang Feng's staff has been passed down to this day.
Wu Zixu was originally a nobleman of the State of Chu, and in the power struggle of the State of Chu, he was tragically destroyed, and he fled to the State of Wu in order to take refuge. At first, Wu Zixu was not used by King Wu's staff, and he sensed that his cousin Gongziguang was secretly recruiting talents, intending to replace him.

Therefore, Wu Zixu recommended the warriors he met in the people to Gongziguang and gained his trust. Wu Wang Fang loved to eat fish, and in order to get close to his staff, he studied hard by Taihu Lake for three months and practiced his unique skill of grilling fish.
Seeing that the time was ripe, Gongzi Guang arranged a banquet and ordered Zhu to pretend to be a food delivery person and hide a dagger in the belly of a fish to deceive the guards. When the fish was brought to the fellow, he broke the belly of the fish, pulled out the dagger and stabbed the fellow.
After his death, Gongzi Guang established himself as King Wu, and he was King Lu of Wu. After Lu Lu's death, he lay dormant in Tiger Hill with the Three Thousand Swords, and looked at the tomb of Wang Feng, Shishan in the distance.

About the name
There is a Jinzhiling Ridge in Yangshan. According to the "Wudi Ji", the stones on the ridge resemble golden lids, resembling Ganoderma lucidum, and it is said that someone once picked golden Ganoderma lucidum here, hence the name Jinzhiling.
Under the Jinzhi Ridge, there was an ancient land road. This ancient land road was built by the order of King Wu Lu to transport soldiers and horses. After Lu Lu came to power, he reused Wu Zixu and implemented a series of policies that led to the rapid rise of Wu. At that time, Yangshan played a key role in the defense of the Chu state in the west, and Jinzhiling, as a pass component of Yangshan, was naturally an important part of the "strong Wu" plan.
At that time, King Wu relied on this convenient land route, breaking Jingchu in the west and Qi Jin in the north, so that the rapidly rising state of Wu changed from a barbaric small country in the eyes of the princes of the Central Plains to a "strong Wu" with the strength to compete for hegemony.

About the name
The water of the White Horse Stream is formed by the confluence of the springs of Tianping Mountain, Huashan, Zhijing Mountain and Gaojing Mountain, which is particularly refreshing and sweet. King Wu opened the horse farm of the Kingdom of Wu here.
In the struggle for hegemony between Wu and Yue, after Wu Wang Fu defeated the Yue army, Yue King Gou was willing to take Wu as a slave and served labor in King Wu's White Horse Stream Horse Farm, unkempt every day, feeding horses, and cleaning stables. Wu Zixu repeatedly advised Fu Cha to kill Gou Jian to avoid future troubles, but Fu Cha did not listen to his opinion.
In order to deceive his husband's trust, Gou Jian behaved extremely humbly and obediently, and even took the initiative to taste his husband's feces to help him identify his illness. Fucha believed Goujian's loyalty and eventually released him back to Yue.
After returning to China, Gou Lian lay down and tried hard to start his revenge plan. One of the plans was to offer Xi Shi and Zheng Dan two beauties to King Wu "to confuse his heart".

A generation of heroes eventually committed suicide by wielding a sword, and according to ancient records, Fucha was buried in Dayang Mountain after his death. According to the "Shiji Yue King Goujian Family", before his death, Fu Cha hid his face and shouted: "I don't have the face to see Wu Zixu!" ”
Legend has it that the day Wu Zixu committed suicide happened to be the fifth day of the first month of May, and the body was thrown into the river by the Fu Chao. The people of Suzhou used bamboo leaves and rice to make fragrant rice dumplings and throw them into the river to protect Wu Zixu's body from fish turtles. This is also the origin of the people of Suzhou commemorating Wu Zixu during the Dragon Boat Festival.
