This year's summer solstice occurs on June 21, and the Dragon Boat Festival is June 22, and the two festivals are very rare, and only appear four times in the 21st century: in 2004, 2023, 2042 and 2061.
The overtime pay for the Dragon Boat Festival is calculated like this
On June 22, overtime wages shall be paid at a rate of not less than 300% of the worker's daily or hourly wage, and shall not be substituted by means of leave.
If an employee is arranged to work overtime on June 23 or June 24, he or she shall first arrange compensatory rest, which shall not be less than the overtime time, and if compensatory rest cannot be arranged, overtime wages shall be paid at a rate of not less than 200% of the base amount of overtime wages for his or her daily or hourly work.
June 25 was originally a rest day, but due to the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, it became a working day, and there is no overtime pay for working on this day, but if the employer arranges the employee to extend the working hours beyond the legal standard working hours, the overtime wages shall be paid at not less than 150% of the base amount of the daily or hourly overtime wage, which shall not be offset by the adjustment of leave.
