In this regard, the Tsai Ing-wen authorities will naturally be very worried, coupled with the recent news that the United States plans to evacuate overseas Chinese from Taiwan, not to mention how anxious it is.
But it was at this time that the Tsai Ing-wen authorities received "bad news" again. According to Taiwan media sources, Honduras has sent an email notice to Taiwan to officially terminate the free trade agreement with Taiwan, and this news has been confirmed by the Taiwan authorities. In March, Honduras just announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Taiwan, and now officially terminated trade cooperation with Taiwan, which is another major blow to Taiwan, and it also once again confirms the incompetence of the Tsai Ing-wen administration. During Tsai's seven years in office, Taiwan has lost nine so-called "countries with diplomatic relations," all of which have turned to the mainland.
Take Honduras as an example, after severing diplomatic relations with Taiwan, its president recently visited China in person and was allowed to participate in this year's CIIE, and in the capacity of "guest country". At that time, Hongfang's products will usher in huge opportunities, and the poorest country in Latin America will also catch China's "economic express", and this is the advantage of choosing the right direction. This time, the mainland won another game, dismantling the so-called "international support" of the Taiwan authorities to the point of little left, and making it deeply realize that it is absolutely impossible for Taiwan to establish diplomatic relations with other countries as a country, let alone pursue so-called independence.
In fact, none of Taiwan's so-called "countries with diplomatic relations" are big countries, but small countries that may not even have heard of their names, which is enough to show the attitude of the international community towards Taiwan. The great prospects of Honduras have made many countries envious, including Paraguay, which recently suddenly shouted that it was ready to establish diplomatic relations and cooperation with China unconditionally. You know, Paraguay is Taiwan's only "diplomatic friend" in South America, and if it also abandons Taiwan, you can imagine how much negative it will have on the Tsai administration.
However, Paraguay apparently does not have the consciousness of Honduras, and despite its positive attitude towards the mainland, it still emphasizes that it will maintain relations with Taiwan. The mainland will not accept this kind of left and right, but the Tsai administration actively encourages "double recognition" and tacitly allows "countries with diplomatic relations" to establish relations with the mainland, for fear of being abandoned by these countries. From this point of view, the Tsai Ing-wen administration has completely lost, so I advise it not to engage in unnecessary struggles, the "one-China" principle cannot be shaken, let alone the Tsai administration, even the United States cannot shake.
