Will the "happiest man in the room" be held accountable?

World Cup champions Argentina national football team defeated the Australian national football team 2-0 at the Beijing Workers Stadium on June 15, at the International Football Friendly match between Argentina and Australia. Argentina captain Lionel Messi scored a goal in the opening 81 seconds to set a career record for the fastest goal of his career, prompting cheers from the audience.

In the 66th minute of the game, there was an unexpected scene on the field. A fan wearing a Messi shirt rushed inside, hugged Messi, and kept running on the field, causing the game to be interrupted for more than 1 minute, and the related video caused heated discussions on the Internet.

In fact, fans breaking into the stadium are not uncommon in football. Matches are often suspended or even interrupted by these indiscriminate fans. What is the harm of fans breaking into the stadium? What measures have States taken to prevent such incidents? What is the punishment for trespassing?

1 Serpentine position, hold to Messi

At 8 p.m. on June 15, the Argentine team led by Messi appeared at the New Workers Stadium in Beijing against the Australian team. In this international friendly match, Argentina beat Australia 2-0. Wearing the number 10 shirt, Messi played all over the field and even broke the opponent's goal with lightning speed just 81 seconds into the game. According to local media in Argentina, this goal was also the fastest goal of Messi's career. The previous record was 2:06 against Chelsea in 2018.

In the 66th minute of the match, a Chinese fan wearing Messi's number 10 shirt rushed into the stadium, first hugged Messi, then snaked for most of the court and high-fived Argentina goalkeeper Martinez. During this time, he constantly tried to avoid the many court security personnel chasing behind him, but eventually stumbled and fell into the box, and was then carried out of the field by multiple security guards.

Many fans in the stands saw this crazy move and shouted "cow" while cheering. Multiple sets of footage showed the fan being carried out of the stadium with a smile. When the fans who broke into the stadium returned to the stands, fans took photos of him and expressed their envy.

In an interview on the sidelines after the game, the fan said: "I jumped straight from the 14th floor. I didn't think about anything at the time, I first went to find Messi, brought a signature pen and then recorded the video, and then a security guard chased me, and finally the security guard took it away. I would say (rushing into the stadium) is very bad behavior... Messi, I'm sorry because I really want to see you. ”

Other videos circulating online showed the fan being carried out by security guards and returning to the stands to tell others that he was under the age of 18.

2 fans break into the stadium, there are many abroad!

The video shows Messi standing calmly in place as the fan runs towards him. In fact, as a top star, he has seen a lot of fan fanaticism on the pitch. During the La Liga on June 13, 2020, a fan wearing Messi's shirt ran into the stadium and was caught by security personnel and taken away from the stadium after taking a selfie with Barça player Alba.

It is reported that the man is from the French island of Mallorca. In an interview with local Spanish media, he said: "I have planned this operation for a long time, I want to meet Messi and take a picture with him, because he is my idol. It is worth mentioning that not only did he not be in the same frame with Messi, but his photo with Alba was also asked by the police to be deleted.

On August 16, 2012, during a match between Argentina and Germany, a German fan wearing a white T-shirt and dark jeans broke through the security guards and entered the stadium, running towards Messi with a thumbs up and a smile on his face. Facing the fan's outstretched hand, Messi greeted him with a smile and friendly high-fives. After high-fives with Messi, the fan also shouted with excitement, like a victor, and then was taken away from the stadium by security guards.

In Argentina's friendly match against Switzerland in March of the same year, a young Swiss player broke into the pitch and went straight to Messi. He took advantage of the convenience to approach Messi for a simple purpose: to shake hands with Messi and then take a photo! Messi did not refuse and readily agreed to his request.

The incident of fans breaking into the stadium is the "reserved program" of recent World Cups. In the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil, for example, an uninvited guest broke into the stadium and lifted his shirt to reveal his upper body, wearing shorts, blue socks and red sneakers. After running inside, he tried to forcibly kiss Germany's Heverdes, but he was quickly pinned down by security guards and pulled out of the ring.

At the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Spain vs Germany semi-finals, an Italian fan wearing a T-shirt and jeans printed with the Superman print and holding a whining Zula horn burst into the ring. However, he was more of a showman and had no intention of interfering with the players, slowing down when he ran to the center of the field, and was then controlled by the police and taken away.

During the group match between Croatia and Brazil at the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, a Croatian fan broke into the stadium and the referee blew his whistle to stop the match. At that time, a fan wearing a Croatian shirt rushed into the Brazilian half. The fan swaggered across the half-court lawn to the far end, Croatia's No.9 striker Pusho, crouching down to shine his shoes.

Although Croatia were trailing at the time, the players were not angry with the interloper, and Pushau treated the "die-hard fan" well, hooking up and accompanying him off the touchline. Then the security personnel arrived and took the Croatian "iron fan" away.

It is also not uncommon for fans to break into the stadium at the European Championship. At Euro 2016, after the group stage match between Portugal and Austria, a fan rushed inside and ran to Cristiano Ronaldo to take a group photo. Security guards wanted to take him away, but Ronaldo complied with his request for a group photo.

After Spain's 1-0 win over the Czech Republic, a grey-clad fan unwittingly showed up next to De Gea to celebrate. After Croatia's 1-0 win over Turkey, a Croatian fan scrambled in after Modric's goal and knelt in to celebrate with the players.

The most classic break-in scene occurred in the quarterfinals between Portugal and Poland. In the 109th minute of the match, a fan wearing Portugal's number 7 shirt threw off nine stadium security guards and went straight to Cristiano Ronaldo, and the game was interrupted. In the end, the fans were thrown down by security guards and taken away from the stadium.

In the Champions League final on June 1, 2019, a blonde female fan Kinsey Wolanski stormed the stadium. Soon, she was stopped by security and taken out of the stadium. Russia Today (RT) said the prank seemed to have worked as it should. After this particular show, Voransky's Instagram followers have grown by hundreds of thousands.

In the Chinese Super League, there are also stadium interlopers. In the 2013 match between Jiangsu Shuntian and Shandong Luneng , the red-haired, shirtless and tattooed Han rushed into the field without blocking and ran towards the goal of the Luneng team at full speed. He hopes to become an influencer by "running naked".

In the UK, which is known as a "football hooligan", this situation is even more common, and even worse. Usually a fan rushes into the stadium to run naked or do something else that attracts attention, rarely attacking the players, but in a Championship match on October 19, 2012, a fan rushed into the stadium and knocked out the opposing goalkeeper and fled.

In the Premier League match between Manchester City and Everton in February of the same year, a fat fan wearing jeans, a black T-shirt and a sports cap suddenly broke through the vigilance and blockade of stadium security and unknowingly broke into the stadium. I saw him go straight to the Manchester City goalpost, handcuff himself to the goalpost, and wrap his hands around the goalpost.

Breaking into the stadium is not for a show of running naked, not to get close to the players you hate or love, nor to display some promotional text or advertisements printed on T-shirts, but to handcuff yourself to the goalpost, which is rare in the Premier League and even the entire football world, and this method of self-"imprisonment" with handcuffs is quite creative.

What's even more funny is that the handcuffed brother also seems to have an argument with Manchester City goalkeeper Hart, and even yelled at Hart. Moreover, the handcuffed brother also got into an argument with the stadium security who came forward to take him away, standing by the goalpost and refusing to take out the keys. For this reason, the game was also forced to be interrupted for 4 minutes. In the end, the handcuffed brother finally uncuffed and was forcibly taken away from the stadium by security.

When it comes to interlopers, the infamous "Jimmy Jump" has to mention that his first appearance in front of the world was in the Euro 2004 final, when he broke into the pitch and threw a Barça scarf in Figo's face. In the 2005 Champions League, he broke into the field again and threw the Liverpool flag in the face of Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. In the 2010-2011 Spanish national derby, he was ready to put a Christmas hat on Cristiano Ronaldo's head; In the 2012-2013 Champions League Barcelona match against Bayern, he gave Messi a little red riding hood... In addition, he tried to steal the Hercules Cup at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

In addition to football, he has also appeared at the Olympics, the French Open, the Grand Prix and even the Eurovision Song Contest. Of course, more often than not, he is not malicious, just to "make headlines".

3 How many seconds is the scenery, what are the consequences?

Don't watch the fans cheer on the field, behind such a few seconds, the fans themselves or the team and even the football association will be punished, and the consequences can be described as varied.

For the game, fans rushing into the stadium will interrupt the game. Croatia has the most say in this regard, and in the 2018 World Cup final in Russia, several crazy fans broke into the stadium and ran wildly, causing the match to be suspended and somewhat interrupting Croatia's counter-attacking momentum.

Second, there are great security risks. As football is the number one sport in the world, no one can predict what crazy fans can do. Therefore, both domestic and foreign, fans are explicitly prohibited from storming the stadium. Even so, there are many people who run into the field regardless of the blood, so there are many examples of being fined or even "entering the game". Others even affected the home club and were also fined.

UEFA stipulates that the member federations are responsible for misconduct by their fans on and off the pitch. At Euro 2016, the Portuguese fan who threw off nine security guards was fined €5,000 by UEFA for his actions as a "pitch invasion". Croatian and Spanish football federations have also been blamed for fan intrusions.

Jimmy, who was once "beautiful", has been punished countless times for multiple illegal break-ins, and as early as 2014, he was fined penniless, and he was on the verge of bankruptcy with a debt of $350,000. The Spanish and German football federations have blacklisted him and banned him from appearing in the stands of any football match. If the break-in is found again, Jimmy Jump will be sentenced to 5 years in prison.

As for the Han, who wanted to be famous naked in the Chinese Super League, he was sent to the police station after being subdued by security guards, and was administratively detained for 7 days for disturbing public order, and ordered not to watch similar matches for one year thereafter.

There is no official response as to whether the fan who broke into the stadium last night will face a penalty.

Beijing 110 responded that night that there would be relevant departments to carry out work and deal with it according to the actual situation, but the specific handling was not clear.

A lawyer believes that the fan's behavior violated Article 24 of the Public Security Administration Punishment Law, and the perpetrator of the violation of public security administration who carried out acts that disrupted the order of large-scale mass activities was given a warning or fined up to 200 yuan; where the circumstances are serious, they shall be detained for not less than 5 days but not more than 10 days, and may also be fined not more than 500 yuan. At the same time, they can be ordered not to enter the stadium to watch similar matches for 12 months.

According to the lawyer, the so-called serious circumstances generally refer to situations in which the staff members are not heeded to stop them, resulting in more serious consequences or adverse effects. Judging from the video, he broke into the stadium and hugged his idol during the break in the game because of his momentary excitement, and was quickly taken away from the stadium, and his behavior should not be serious, and the specific must be determined by the police. If they are minors, in accordance with article 30 of the Administrative Punishment Law, where minors between the ages of 14 and 18 have unlawful conduct, the administrative punishment shall be mitigated or mitigated. Based on the circumstances of the violation and the age characteristics of minors, the perpetrator is more likely to be given a warning or fine.

In similar cases of trespassing on the course, there are precedents for penalties. According to reports, on March 11, 2006, during a match between Chongqing Lifan and Liaozu, a 50-year-old fan was sentenced to 10 days of detention and a fine of 500 yuan for jumping into the stadium without permission, and was banned from entering the stadium to watch similar matches for one year.

4What are the countermeasures?

In the first round of the Chinese Super League this season, fans rushed through the field, and the direct consequence of this was that the first three rows of the bottom stands of the new building were covered with a green cloth, and the seats in the first two rows were no longer sold. Now, because of last night's incident, the new body is likely to be forced to increase the size in the future, either by further closing the seats near the stadium or directly pulling the net. Last night's incident, some netizens questioned the carelessness of the security personnel at the scene, to which the security company responded that our people have been chasing, and a work meeting was held overnight after the game.

Due to the fear of harmful information being streamed through live broadcasts, FIFA stipulates that once a rush occurs during a match, it should be avoided by switching cameras and other means to avoid allowing viewers watching the broadcast to see the picture. In last night's Argentina vs Australia match, the audience in front of the TV did not actually see the fans breaking into the stadium.

In response to fan storms and brawls, the Europa League has been taking various measures to actively respond and counter it. Dragging is only the most basic measure, and the Premier League has coordinated with a number of video sites and social media companies to remove videos of fans rushing to the stadium so that more people do not follow suit.

Last year, in order to severely punish fans who broke into the stadium, the Football Association (FA), Premier League (PL) and the English Football League (EFL) issued a joint statement that fans must stay in the stands to avoid any unnecessary distractions at critical moments. Anyone who carries or uses pyrotechnics or smoke bombs will be automatically barred from entering the stadium. All confirmed "offenders" will be reported to the police by the club and may form a permanent criminal record, affecting their employment and education, and may even lead to imprisonment...

Any fan who runs, carries or uses fireworks on the pitch will be automatically banned from watching the match by the club, and the ban may extend to a parent or guardian if the offender is under 18 years of age.

Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said: "If we don't take collective and sustained action, it may only be a matter of time before someone gets seriously injured or worse."

FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said: "Football stadiums must provide a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all and everyone in the game – including governing bodies, clubs, players, coaches and fans – has a responsibility to ensure we all play our part in protecting the game and each other.

Looking back on yesterday's game, the young man did come true of his dream, and let more people feel the enthusiasm and passion of football, but this behavior is not worth advocating!
