Kochi Prefecture discovered a rare deep-sea fish dragon palace messenger for two consecutive days.
On June 12, the Muroto Abandoned School Aquarium in Muroto City, Kochi Prefecture, received a call from fishermen saying that a rare imperial ribbon fish (Ryugu messenger) had been found in a fixed fishing net, and the aquarium staff rushed to the fishing port and confirmed that it was a 3.7-meter-long imperial ribbon fish, so they moved it to the aquarium with the fishermen.
Unexpectedly, just a day later, on June 13, the aquarium received a call saying that it had caught another one, and this time it was larger, more than 4 meters long.
The aquarium said that everyone was surprised when they caught the first one, but the next day another one came, and now they don't know whether to make a bone specimen or cryopreservation.
