An urgent order from the Fourth Special Office of Taiyue

During the period of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, the people who survived the struggle overcame difficulties, were heroic and tenacious, and actively participated in the war, they were not afraid of sacrifice, and made great contributions to the victory of the revolutionary war.

In June 1947, the Liberation War was transformed from strategic defense to strategic offensive, and in order to cooperate with the strategic action of Liu and Deng's army advancing into Dabie Mountain, the central government decided that Chen Geng and Xie Fuzhi would lead the Taiyue Corps to cross the Yellow River from southern Jin and northern Henan to march into western Henan and open up revolutionary base areas. In that year, when Chen Xie's army was staying in Beishi Village, The Economic Source of the Expedition, he set up a military station at the Guandi Temple to ensure the logistical supply of the troops.

In late July 1947, the leaders of the four districts of Jiyuan County decided to set up a military station in Beishi Village, Chengliu Township, according to the instructions of their superiors, and the village cadres were specifically responsible for organizing and implementing it. The village chief Wang Longgui served as the station chief, and the deputy village chief Lu Zhisheng became the deputy station chief. After accepting the task, the village cadres immediately held a meeting to study the relevant matters. To establish a military station, the first thing to do is to choose the address of the military station. After repeated study, the village cadres believed that it was most appropriate to set up a military station at the Guandi Temple, because the Guandi Temple was close to the highway, and the crossing point of the troops was selected in the Guanyang area of Xiaye. From the Guandi Temple to Guanyang, tens of kilometers away, the traffic is more convenient, and the site in front of the temple is relatively wide, which is convenient for the carriage and horse personnel to stay, so the address of the military station is determined in the Guandi Temple.

According to the tasks assigned by the superiors, in addition to arranging the house where the flour is stored, the military station has two tasks: First, to receive rice noodles and firewood sent by the people of the surrounding villages at any time and anywhere; Second, after the supply of troops began, as the flour of the soldiers was consumed day by day, it was necessary to organize the masses to go to Wushan (now Sili Village, Sili Town) and the two warehouses in Shiniu Village at any time to transport and collect them, so as to ensure the supply of grain for the troops. Before starting to store grain, the village organized people to clean the 3 rooms in the temple from top to bottom, inside and out. Jiyuan is an old district, and the enthusiasm of the people who have turned over has never been higher. Some come to deliver flour during the day, and some come to deliver firewood at night; Some came on their shoulders, and some came with livestock. In just two or three days, the flour in the temple was full. In the open space outside the temple, a load of firewood piled up like a mountain.

One day in early August, the Guandi Temple suddenly became lively. The vanguard of Chen Xie's army arrived for the first time. In order to hurry, the troops did not stop at the station, and the logisticians carried some flour and set off in a hurry. The village cadres were very happy and excited, because they had never seen so many troops passing through the village, and this time they saw their own team. Forgetting the fatigue of the past few days, they stood at the entrance of the temple, warmly greeting the rapidly marching procession. It took more than an hour for the vanguard to finish in a hurry.

For more than 10 days, the soldier station passed by every day. Some cooked on the soldiers' standing stove, ate a meal and left; Some still wear a collar and bring some flour to continue on the road. One day at noon, the troops were eating, when suddenly, there was a burst of enemy aircraft over the Guandi Temple, and the trumpeter immediately sounded the emergency air defense number. The troops who were eating immediately entered a state of air defense, some hiding in the surrounding cotton field half a person deep, some crawling under the house, and some lying down under the trees. In order to prevent enemy aircraft from bombing the guandi temple grain warehouse, a unit commander ordered anti-aircraft machine guns to strafe the air, and an anti-aircraft gun also raised its barrel and aimed its muzzle at the sky. The enemy plane flew at an ultra-low altitude, and although it did not drop bombs, it fired at the ground from time to time with the machine guns equipped on the aircraft. Under the protection of the powerful artillery fire of the station, the enemy plane changed from ultra-low altitude flight to high-altitude circling, and flew away after ten minutes. For several days, with continuous rain and harassment by enemy planes, there was not much food left at the station. In order to ensure logistical supplies, the station had to organize militia to brave the wind and rain and walk on the muddy road to the stone cow warehouse to transport grain. Considering that it was raining and it was inconvenient for the troops to set up stoves to cook, the village cadres distributed the flour to the homes of the people in each village, and everyone made the flour into steamed buns, and then concentrated it at the military station for the passing troops to eat.

Since the beginning of August, the Guandi Temple Military Station has received more than 100,000 troops, militia members and migrant workers, and successfully completed the glorious tasks entrusted by the party.

In 1946, the people who inherited the people also actively participated in the Jiyuan County Branch Former Minfu Brigade, cooperated with the People's Liberation Army, and successively participated in the liberation of southwest Henan and southwest Jin, undertaking tasks such as transporting military food and ammunition, rescuing the wounded, and transmitting intelligence. In 1947, he forcibly crossed the Yellow River for Chen and Xie Dajun to build roads, build ships, and transport materials.

In 1947, Jiejiyuan County set up an emergency order to establish a transportation station, set up a reception station in Libazhuang, Chengliu Town, and actively cooperated with the superiors to solve problems such as grain, firewood and grass supply. Han Kangrong crossed the Yellow River with Chen Xie's army to participate in battles such as the liberation of Luoyang. After returning to his hometown in 1948, he served as the station chief of Li Bazhuang Military Station, collecting grain, firewood, clothing and other materials for the troops. In the same year, more than 10 young and middle-aged people, including Lu Yiyuan and Ji Side, were selected to collect grain for the People's Liberation Army's campaign to liberate Linfen, and the grain and combat materials collected from various places were loaded into iron wheeled vehicles, livestock trucks, and rickshaws, and transported over mountains and mountains to the Xiaye Sanjiao Transfer Station, where they were transported back and forth more than 10 times. In addition, in order to cooperate with the transportation of pre-support materials, the villages under the jurisdiction also organized villagers, livestock and vehicles to build roads and erect temporary communication lines.

In October 1950, the central authorities made the strategic decision of "resisting US aggression and aiding Korea and defending the homeland and defending the country.", Jiyuan County carried out patriotic ideological education for the militia, and the ideological consciousness of the vast number of militiamen in the whole region was unprecedentedly enhanced. All villages actively responded to the call of the central authorities, and every household wrote a "patriotic pact," the content of which was: to have people, to ask for money, and to donate grain. At that time, the living conditions of the villagers were very difficult, many villagers themselves did not have clothes, shoes to wear, some clothes were torn and torn and had no materials to repair, but still actively responded to the call of the state, several partners to make military shoes, some families could not even make shoe materials, they went out to work, did their best to make military shoes, and then donated them all to the state.
