In 1941, Zhu Datong led two battalions of troops to the battlefield to participate in the battle according to the command, but because the battle plan was not thorough, the combat troops were not stably resettled, and Zhu Datong was unfortunately captured by the Japanese army.

The path of defection of underground party members
Zhu Datong was originally an underground member of the Communist Party and made many contributions to our Party in the early days! But no one expected that this Zhu Datong, who seemed to have a very firm revolutionary will, would actually choose to join the Kuomintang after being arrested by the Kuomintang, betraying the communists who had cooperated with him in life and death.
After Zhu Datong was arrested by the Kuomintang, he wanted to avoid the pain of flesh and skin and the worry of his life, so he could only choose to work for the Kuomintang. But because of his special status as an underground member of the Communist Party, officials within the Kuomintang certainly won't easily believe what Zhu Datong says.
To successfully integrate into the Kuomintang, Zhu Datong had to hand over the so-called "petition."
In order to gain the trust of relevant officials within the Kuomintang, Zhu Datong leaked the top secrets of the Communist Party to the Kuomintang officials, and Zhu Datong cooperated with the Kuomintang officers and soldiers to arrest underground Communist Party members.
Guo Zihua was one of the outstanding underground members of the Communist Party who was betrayed.
At that time, Guo Zihua's underground camouflage in Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province was particularly good! Pretending to be the owner of a Chinese medicine shop, he did business in the open, secretly helped the Communist Party collect intelligence, and made an indelible contribution to the underground work of the Communist Party.
But no matter how perfect the costume is, it cannot escape the leakage of insiders, and in 1936, Guo Zihua, who was on a mission, was arrested by the Kuomintang.
Zhu Datong has also changed from a good comrade who was praised by others to a rat crossing the street that everyone shouts at!
But Zhu Datong didn't seem to realize that he had done something wrong, his hands were already stained with the blood of communists, this scalding blood made him numb, and Zhu Datong seemed to work harder for the Kuomintang! His official position has also been promoted again and again!
Until Zhu Datong was arrested by the Japanese army in 1941, the news came out that he had defected again!
But people only saw the illusion on the surface, and did not know Zhu Datong's painstaking efforts to do so.

A true hero who is "incognito"
Zhu Datong's betrayal of the Communist Party and his defection to the Kuomintang was not because he was soft-boned, but all this was a response strategy that he made at the disposal of the Communist Party's superiors.
The Communist Party needs an agent who infiltrates the Kuomintang, and needs to prove that the staff constantly provides the underground party with intelligence within the Kuomintang to help the Communist Party make corresponding measures in a timely manner!
Zhu Datong's identity cannot be known to too many people, so few people in my party know Zhu Datong's true identity. In order to ensure Zhu Datong's safety, the people who handed over information to him every time were also very secretive.

During the Liberation War, many officials within the Communist Party were actually unwilling to wage war with the Communist Party, but due to Chiang Kai-shek's orders, "courtiers" must obey his command!
Zhu Datong began to plot against these officials within the Kuomintang who were unwilling to fight, and he wanted to speed up the process of liberation in another way!
His approach was considered by some officials to be unintentional, and in the end, he failed to reveal his identity all along, and Zhu Datong died unjustly in Zhabei Park.

It wasn't until the liberation of Shanghai that Chen Yi, as one of the few people who knew his identity as an underground party member, looked for him and learned that he had "become righteous"!

Unfortunately, Zhu Datong's death time was similar to the time of Shanghai's liberation, and if Shanghai had been liberated earlier, there might have been a different ending!
