Every weekend Saturday night, Qixian Chaoge Old Street will be crowded with people, tens of thousands of heads, the original large-scale live performance "Great Shang ChaoGe" in Chaoge Old Street wonderful performance, shocking music, dazzling lights, vivid interpretation, reproducing the glorious history of the King of Qi's expedition to Dongyi, quelling the war, the eight parties to the dynasty, the four seas of guests, attracting many citizens and tourists to come to punch in and watch.
In July 2018, Chaoge Old Street was announced by the provincial government as the "first batch of historical and cultural blocks in Henan Province", with a total area of 41 hectares. The planning scope starts from Hongqi Road in the north, Tongji Avenue in the south, West Street in the west, and East Street in the east. The old street is flanked by one to two floors of traditional houses and shops from the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period. After the founding of New China, in the 1950s, some cultural and commercial buildings with strong characteristics of New China style were built on both sides of the old street, such as the People's Theater and department stores, and by the 1960s and 1970s, with the completion of a large number of public buildings with new Chinese style such as the county government, Xinhua Bookstore, People's Bank of China, and post office building, the old street gradually evolved into a new unique street space with a new unique style that was equally divided between the traditional style and the new Chinese style. In order to excavate chaoge culture and restore the style of the old street, in May 2018, the county party committee and county government launched the transformation project of the historical and cultural block of chaoge old street, and at present, the first phase has been basically completed, with a total length of 360 meters, and the area of the old street after the transformation has reached 4770 square meters.
