The EX30 is based on Geely's SEA vast platform, positioned as a small SUV, and adopts the exterior and interior design language similar to EX90. The new car will be launched in the second half of the year, and in the future, it will compete with smart Genie #1, Extreme Krypton X and other models of the same price. In addition, Volvo will also launch the EX30 Cross Country, which can be regarded as an off-road version of the EX30, which will be available for order in the first half of 2024 and mass production will begin in the second half of 2024.

EX30 adopts a closed front face design, and the headlight groups on both sides have dot matrix daytime running light strips; The rear door and window line is raised, similar to the extreme Krypton X, and the charging port is located on the left rear side; The rear of the car is equipped with a split dot matrix light cluster, and the lower light strip is connected to the trim strip, which is very recognizable. The EX30 Cross Country Edition adds more off-road elements to the body, including skid plates around the body and 19-inch wheels.

The EX30 interior continues the simple design of the family, equipped with a touch-sensitive multi-function steering wheel, an electronic pocket gear, a 12.3-inch vertical center control screen, and a vertical layout of air conditioning outlets on both sides. The central armrest area in the front of the new car is an island platform, with a sliding telescopic cup holder at the top and a large storage compartment below it, and a telescopic storage compartment at the rear bottom.

The EX30 vehicle interior is available in four material versions, with recyclable and renewable materials for the seats, instrument panel and door trim. The new car is equipped with a digital key, a new parking system, a door opening warning system, a driver perception system, a front and rear lateral traffic warning system, an airbag inside the main driver's seat, and a Harman Kardon echo wall speaker.

The EX30 is available in three powertrains and two battery types, with a lithium iron phosphate battery for the entry-level single-motor rear-drive model and a ternary lithium battery for the single-motor rear-drive long-range version, with a WLTP range of 480km. The dual-motor four-wheel drive model has a maximum power of 315kW and an acceleration time of 3.6s per 100 km/h. It only takes about 25 minutes to charge the new car battery from 10% to 80%, and the current, maximum power and charging start time can be set through the center control screen and APP.
