To get to the point, it can be said that in today's Sino-US relations, China has occupied a considerable part of the dominant power, and it is no longer unilaterally decided by the United States. The United States itself is also a hindsight to this.
The most typical example is that during this period, the Pentagon has always wanted to promote the meeting at the level of the defense ministers of China and the United States, and the time and place have been set, just at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore in June. But the result? China's response surprised the Americans and flatly refused.
What made the United States even more angry was that after rejecting the United States, within two days, China took the initiative to find the "backyard" of the United States, that is, the South American region, and invited countries in the South American region to cooperate in military and defense security. It can be said that it is not very harmful, but it is extremely insulting.
A few days ago, at a regular press conference held by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, senior colonel Tan Kefei, spokesman for the press, said that the Chinese Ministry of National Defense held the 16th seminar for senior officers in Latin America and the Caribbean. A total of 54 senior military and police officers from 25 countries attended.
The purpose of this meeting is also very clear, that is, to strengthen defense and security cooperation between China and Latin American countries, and increase understanding and mutual trust between the PLA and the militaries of Latin American countries.
As I said before, one of the core of the US China strategy is to establish one small group after another to contain, suppress and isolate China. If China blindly follows the strategic rhythm of the United States, it will easily form self-isolation and allow the United States to succeed in its conspiracy.
But apparently China is not. On the contrary, China has been striving for all countries that have been coerced by US hegemony. Strive for these countries to maintain a neutral attitude as much as possible, and not be led by the United States. Today, despite being thousands of miles away from Latin America, China is still targeting the rear of the United States.
The strategic position of Latin America and the Caribbean is very important, especially for the United States. The previous Russian bombers to Venezuela were enough to make the United States like a great enemy. And now China's deepening cooperation with Latin America, economy and defense, will only make the United States more uncomfortable.
Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, when President Lula visited China, he made it very clear, that is, he wanted to say no to US hegemonism. This has undoubtedly further boosted anti-American sentiment in Latin American countries. At the same time, many Latin American countries have also turned to join China's Belt and Road Initiative. The situation in Latin America has changed.
The defense workshop initiated by China was echoed by the militaries of 25 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is clear that on the basis of economic cooperation, China is going further and beginning to deepen Sino-Latin America relations in military, regional security and defense cooperation.
In contrast to the United States today, the Pentagon still does not know why China rejected the Sino-US defense ministers' meeting and questioned China. In this regard, China's response is also very simple, what the United States has done itself, why Sino-US relations are facing difficulties, these United States know very well, China does not need to make any explanation to the United States. I think that only after the international community has changed will the United States remember its mistake and deeply regret it.
