Since coming to Liyuan Town in January this year, Tan Yonghao has become a professional "doctor" for these more than 500 acres of tobacco seedlings, and in addition to going to the field every day for "free consultations", he will also conduct training for local tobacco farmers.
Today, the tobacco farmers in the village have become half experts, and they know the timing and method of picking tobacco leaves, as well as the drying distance, temperature, humidity, etc.
In order to comprehensively improve the professional and technical level of tobacco farmers, Liyuan Town cooperated with Henan Agricultural University, Hunan Agricultural University and other universities to establish a research base, hired technical experts, and "checked the pulse" for the "difficult and miscellaneous diseases" that are prone to occur in the production of cigar tobacco leaves.
The development of tobacco leaves is not enough technology, infrastructure must keep up. Sangzhi County raised 14 million yuan to transfer 30 acres of land in Liyuan Town, build 26 new high-standard cigar drying houses, build 5 kilometers of production roads, and lay 5,000 meters of mountain spring water pipelines for cigar tobacco... A sum of money was invested in the cigar tobacco base, and the "cigar town" was gradually born.
"Mobilize the efforts of the whole town to develop the cigar tobacco industry and achieve the expected goal of industrial revitalization and rural revitalization." After more than 10 door-to-door visits by party members and cadres in the town, as well as Wang Wenke, deputy secretary of the town's party committee and mayor of the town, he knew it and moved with affection. Now, Liu Guorong has also become a good hand in the base, through labor and land circulation, the income is high, and the motivation is increasing.
"Cigar tobacco is a labor-intensive industry that provides hundreds of stable jobs throughout the year, and this alone can provide villagers with more than 700,000 yuan in labor income." Wang Wenke introduced that Liyuan Town belongs to a large population town, with a permanent population of about 120,000 people, cigar tobacco base through drying rooms, awnings, dropper facilities and other tobacco infrastructure construction project investment, the whole industry chain can generate many doorstep employment and income, the town's social stability also played a certain role in promoting the town's social stability.

Chen Bin introduced that in addition to launching 500 mu of cigar planting, Liyuan Town is also deeply exploring the "cigar +" tourism culture, and plans to build a town with Tujiajala Bala style to drive the quality of tobacco leaves, improve the yield of eggplanting, promote tobacco farmers to increase income, and help rural revitalization.

When it comes to the development plan of "Cigar Town", Chen Bin's blueprint has been drawn countless times. He told reporters that the town plans to expand cigar cultivation to 5,000 mu in three years, achieve a total annual output value of 50 million yuan, create a cigar industry belt along the line from Xiange Village to Xijie Village, and drive more than 1,000 villagers to stabilize employment and increase income.
